DAILY DEVOTION - November 15
Gratitude First, Then Gain
Matthew 6:33 (NKJV)
(Matthew 6:33 NKJV: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things
shall be added to you.)
Week 3: Contentment & Trust begins with priorities. Gratitude seeks God first and trusts Him to
handle the rest. When we chase provision more than His presence, peace slips away. But when we
place God first, everything else finds order.
A grateful heart focuses on the Giver, not the gift. As we seek His righteousness, we discover that
what He adds—peace, wisdom, provision—was never earned; it was always grace.
Reflection Questions:
1. What areas of my life need God-first alignment?
2. How does gratitude help me trust His timing?
3. What distractions keep me from seeking His kingdom first?
Prayer:
Lord, I seek You above everything else. Reorder my priorities and fill my heart with gratitude that
keeps You first. Thank You for promising to add what I need in Your time. Amen.
Practical Application:
โ Begin your day with prayer before any task.
โ Write down what you’re thankful for instead of what you need.
โ Take a “seek first” challenge—start every conversation or post this week giving glory to God.
Takeaway Thought:
Seek God first—gratitude will follow, and everything else will fall into place.
