๐Ÿ•Š DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 322
DATE: 18TH NOVEMBER, 2025
TOPIC: THE HEART OF A TRUE LEADER
ANCHOR SCRIPTURE: EXODUS 32:32 (KJV)
“Yet now, if Thou wilt forgive their sin—; and if not, blot me, I pray Thee, out of Thy book which Thou hast written.”
MESSAGE

One of the greatest qualities of true leadership is a heart of love and selflessness. A real leader prioritizes the welfare, growth, and restoration of the people he leads above his own comfort, ambition, or recognition.

In our anchor scripture, Moses displays one of the most powerful examples of godly leadership. While he was on the mountain, the children of Israel sinned greatly by building and worshipping a golden calf. God, in His holiness, was ready to consume them and raise a new nation from Moses. It was a legitimate offer — Moses could have become the father of a great nation. But Moses chose people over position. He chose restoration over replacement. He chose intercession over self-promotion.

He pleaded with God on behalf of Israel until God relented. He even went further to say, “If You will not forgive them, blot my name out of Your book.” What a heart! What a burden! What a leader!

This is the kind of heart required to lead God’s people — in ministry, in business, in family, or in any sphere.People will make mistakes,People will offend you,People will disobey instructions ,People will drift from the right path but a true leader does not abandon them. He does not curse them in anger. He does not push them away. Instead, he forbears, forgives, and restores gently — just as Apostle Paul instructs.

Sadly, many souls have left churches because harsh words were spoken out of anger. Many destinies were wounded because leaders reacted emotionally instead of responding in love. This is why self-control is essential: controlling your emotions, your reactions, and especially your tongue.

A true leader speaks life, not death,He heals, not wounds,He restores, not destroys. He loves, even when offended.May God give us leaders with the heart of Moses — leaders who bleed love, carry burdens, and fight for the restoration of those they lead.

PRAYER

Father, give me the heart of a true leader — a heart of love, patience, and selflessness. Help me to lead with compassion, restore with gentleness, and speak with wisdom. Make me a vessel of healing to those You entrust to me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
