DAILY DEVOTION - November 19

Desire That Delights God

Psalm 37:4 (NKJV)

(Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.)

Delight in God leads to alignment with God. As we enjoy His presence, our desires begin to reflect
His heart. Gratitude keeps that relationship pure, helping us rejoice more in the Giver than in the gifts.

Week 3: Contentment & Trust emphasizes that joy flows from relationship, not reward. When our
hearts delight in God, He fulfills desires that honor His name and enrich our souls. Gratitude ensures
we delight in Him daily, not only when desires are fulfilled.

Reflection Questions:

1. What does it mean to truly delight in God?

2. How can I align my desires with His?

3. What has gratitude taught me about waiting on God’s timing?

Prayer:

Father, You are my delight. Shape my desires until they mirror Your will. Thank You for satisfying my
heart in Your presence. Amen.

Practical Application:

● Spend time worshiping without asking for anything.

● Write down desires that honor God and pray over them.

● Thank God for unfulfilled desires that protect you from harm.

Takeaway Thought:

Gratitude delights in God first—and trusts Him to handle the rest.
