COMPARISON DISTORTS YOUR GOD-GIVEN IDENTITY

A WORD FROM THE WORD:

"But let each one examine his own work, and then he will have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. For each one shall bear his own load." Galatians 6:4-5 NKJV.

God has crafted each and everyone of us distinctively with our own set of skills, talents, and purposes. When you compare yourself with others, you undermine your own abilities and potentials. Acknowledging your distinctive uniqueness means recognising and appreciating your own strengths and weaknesses, without diminishing the worth of others.

Instead of trying to be like someone else, you should focus on becoming the best version of yourself, taking Godly pride in your own actions, and trusting Him to bring about the fulfilment of His unique plans for you.

To find contentment and fulfillment in the pursuit of God's will for you, you have the need to reflect on the truthful fact that you are fearfully and wonderfully made, and learn to acknowledge your God-given identity and uniqueness. One of Heaven's desire for you is to have you see the big picture, and stop comparing yourself with others, and enable you to focus on fulfilling purpose.

PRAYER BULLETS:

Father LORD, help me to embrace my uniqueness and appreciate who You created me to be. Grant me the wisdom to recognise, appreciate and utilise my unique gifts, and talents for Your glory.

FURTHER READING:

Psalm 139:14-16; Jeremiah 1:5; Ephesians 2:10; Galatians 1:15.
