IN THE FINAL DAYS OF OUR LIVES
Gen 49
In the final days of any man's life, there is a sentence for payment.
Jacob spelt out the judgement to his children, not because he was the judge but because The Judge allowed him to read it.
Often times people cry out that they were cursed but it was actually their sins that brought their sufferings.
Today so many people are carrying burdens on their lives they wished were not there because of their father's sin(s) and because of their sin(s) and we are warning men to live uprightly and do justice so their tomorrow may be better than their yesterdays. Proverbs 11:22 says every sin will be paid for.... Turn away from sins and cry out for mercy perhaps God will intervene in your case for leniency.
Jacob's children lived their lives how they knew best and in the end, the lives they lived paid them it's due (salary).
Repent my brother and you my sister, the merciful Christ is still at the door to show mercy. You can get mercy, everyone can when we turn from unrighteousness and wickedness to living right.
Jacob died after pronouncing the sentence so no one could barge him with a cry for mercy like in the case of Esau begging his father Isaac for one single blessing (Genesis 27:34,38-40). We still have hope to ask for our one single chance to change our lives for good, we can still change our lives and we can still do the right thing. Let's use it.
Shalom!
