Good morning, brethren.
1. Do you pray in the morning? Our morning prayer focuses on "walking in righteousness."
2. Have you asked for God’s help in our situation in Nigeria? Do you know that God can send help from above? Do you know that ultimate victory will be granted to us by God?
3. Do you know the sufficiency of God?
4. As a believer, do you exemplify the Gospel you preach?

1. Morning Prayer
A Psalm of David. The LORD [is] my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. ⏤ Psalm 23:1-3
He who has learned to pray has learned the greatest secret of a holy and happy life. ⏤ William Law
O Light of the hearts that trust You, Life of the souls that love You, and Strength of all who seek Your face—grant us Your grace as we begin this day. We thank You for the mercies of the night. You have brought us back from the seeming death of sleep. We place our hands in Yours and ask You to guide us throughout the day.
Be our Good Shepherd. Lead us in paths of righteousness for Your name’s sake. Be our refuge and strength, a very present help in times of trouble. Teach us to do Your will. Incline our hearts to walk in Your ways. Help us to love Your commandments. Renew our hearts continually, so that we love doing what is right and hate whatever is wrong.
We will need Your divine wisdom all day long. Help us to conduct our affairs in a way that pleases You. May all our business be Your business. May our work at home be done without worry. Help us to bear the trials and endure the challenges of life as our blessed Master did, without fretting or complaining, but with patience and joy. Grant us the patience, forbearance, meekness, and joy to make this day holy and beautiful, as we stay near You and live by Your help and grace.
Allow no temptation to endanger our souls, but with every temptation make a way for us to escape, so we do not fall away into eternal death. Let us not yield to unholy influences, but may we be more than conquerors in all things through Him who loved us. We ask these mercies, humbly confessing our sins, through Jesus our Redeemer. Amen.

Asking for God’s Help
Thus far the Lord has helped us. 1 Samuel 7:12

When I was younger, I thought it improper to ask God to help me meet writing deadlines. Other people have greater needs, I told myself. Family problems. Health crises. Job letdowns. Financial needs. I’ve faced all those things too. But meeting a writing deadline seemed too small to take to God. I changed my view, however, after finding multiple examples in the Bible of God helping people regardless of the challenge they faced.
In one story, the Israelites were dismayed because they faced an attack at Mizpah by their enemies, the Philistines. “[The Israelites] said to Samuel, ‘Do not stop crying out to the Lord our God for us, that he may rescue us from the hand of the Philistines’ ” (1 Samuel 7:8). In response, Samuel sacrificed a lamb to God, crying out to Him on Israel’s behalf, “and the Lord answered him” (v. 9).
“While Samuel was sacrificing the burnt offering, the Philistines drew near to engage Israel in battle. But that day the Lord thundered with loud thunder against the Philistines and threw them into such a panic that they were routed before the Israelites” (v. 10).
Later, “Samuel took a stone and set it up between Mizpah and Shen. He named it Ebenezer, saying, ‘Thus far the Lord has helped us’ ” (v. 12). Samuel placed the stone to commemorate God helping His people. Ebenezer means “stone of help.”
Asking God for help is always proper. Let’s call out to Him today.

Please help me today, loving God. I need You!
SCRIPTURE INSIGHT
In Hebrew literature, a “word pair” refers to two closely related yet distinct words that are often found together and enhance an idea. In 1 Samuel 7, we find the common word pair of “deliver” (v. 3; Hebrew, natsal) and “rescue” (v. 8; Hebrew, yasha). To “deliver” captures the idea of God rescuing from a situation of immediate danger, while “rescue” (or “save” in some translations), points to a more enduring, secure, and ultimate victory. In 1 Samuel 7, Samuel calls for God’s people to trust Him to “deliver” (v. 3) and “rescue” them from the Philistines (v. 8). Together, this word pair points to our need to ask God for help when we face trials and to leave both our immediate situation and our ultimate security and final salvation in God’s hands.

In various places, especially in the poor countries, people often prefer goods made in wealthier countries over locally produced items. They believe that products from such countries are of higher quality; so, they go for them instead of choosing locally made goods.
*This relates to seeking God's superior help rather than help from men. The quality of help depends on the source of that help. Our God is all-powerful, the One Who made everything. He can do anything.*
Help from God is the best because people can fail us, but God never fails. He is our ultimate Source of help, whether it is with our studies or during challenging times.
*Therefore, it is wise to turn to God for help and deliverance in times of trouble. He is the Creator of all things, and He is always faithful to support us and will not let us down. Remember, real quality help comes from the Lord, Who is seated on His throne in heaven.*

*Dennis Wholey, an American television host, and author, once said, "Expecting the world to treat you fairly because you are a good person is a little like expecting a bull not to attack you because you are a vegetarian." This implies that no matter how good or careful you are, you will always have detractors.*
*For some reason, Israel has never lacked detractors. Our text assures that "upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions." Part of this prophecy was fulfilled when the Jews returned to their own land. It will be ultimately fulfilled at the coming of Christ. The prophecy is directed primarily against Edom, the descendants of Esau, for their arrogance and violence against Jacob's descendants, Israel. The Edomites are condemned for their actions during a time of distress for Israel, and Obadiah's prophecy foretells their destruction and Israel's subsequent restoration and dominion.*
*The prophecy also hints at the ultimate victory over the kingdom of darkness, affirming that those aligned with God, through Christ, will prevail over all forms of evil, portrayed here as "the house of Esau." The fire and flame imagery signifies God's transformative power in believers' lives. The victory over Esau, representing the forces of darkness, parallels the New Testament promise that "whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith" (1 John 5:4).*
*In the light of the certainty of the promises of God, Christians should always see themselves as overcomers in all life's challenges, physical or spiritual. Even life-threatening problems and spiritual battles should not weaken our faith, knowing they all constitute "...our light affliction, which is but for a moment, (and) worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory" (2 Corinthians 4:17). Thus, by relying on God's strength and holding firmly to His promises, believers can face life's adversities with confidence, knowing that their ultimate triumph is guaranteed.*

I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
—John 10:10
In God’s economy, you must go down into the valley of grief before you can scale the heights of spiritual glory. You must become tired and weary of living alone before you seek and find the fellowship of Christ. You must come to the end of “self” before you can begin to live. The happiest day of my life was when I realized that my own ability, my own goodness, and my own morality were insufficient in the sight of God. I am not exaggerating when I say that my mourning was turned to joy, and my sighing into singing. Happy are they that mourn for the inadequacy of self, for they shall be comforted with the sufficiency of God.

Man was hostile before encountering the grace of God, and that affected his relationship with God and fellow men. However, the message of the gospel of Christ makes reconciliation with God possible, thereby making the believer holy, blameless and above reproach. Thus, he has become an example for others to follow. Your perseverance and continuous commitment to the faith should spur others. We live amidst hostile people. False teachers and teachings also abound. To remain firm and unwavering in your faith, you must not yield to worldly influences or false teachings. You are saved to live out the gospel message without compromise. How is your spiritual and moral life? Are you a good example? Assess!

📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖

📜📜```TEXT:OBADIAH 1:17-21```📜📜
🔑📖```KEY VERSE:``` _*"But upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions" (OBADIAH 1:17).*_

The Sufficiency of God

Prayer for the day
Almighty God, You have given me real life through Jesus Christ. My soul praises You.

4. *DAILY WALK WITH CHRIST*
(COCIN DEVOTIONAL)
*DATE:*
TUESDAY 25TH NOVEMBER, 2025
*SUB-THEME:*
PROCLAIMING THE GOSPEL OF THE RESURRECTED CHRIST.
*TOPIC:*
EXEMPLIFY THE GOSPEL
*TEXT:*
COLOSSIANS 1:21-23
21. And you, being in time past alienated and enemies in your mind in your evil works,
22. yet now hath He reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy and without blemish and unreproveable before Him:
23. if so be that ye continue in the faith, grounded and stedfast, and not moved away from the hope of the gospel which ye heard, which was preached in all creation under heaven; whereof I Paul was made a minister.
*TOPIC:*
EXEMPLIFY THE GOSPEL
*THE MESSAGE:*
Assess!
*REFLECTION:*
Your lifestyle tells who you are.
*PRAYER:*
Lord, help me to live an upright life. Amen.
*MEMORY VERSE FOR THE MONTH:*
2 TIMOTHY 2:8.
"Remember Jesus Christ, raised from the dead, descended from David. This is my gospel."
*TODAY'S BIBLE READING PLAN:*
