Good evening, brethren.
Do you pray in the evening? Our evening prayer focuses on " Committing our way to God."

2. DO you glorify Hod by giving thanks?
3. Do you know what is in a name?
4. Do you know God’s Picture for Marriage and family?
To know more, read the message below:

1. Evening Prayer

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. ⏤ Proverbs 3:5-6

The man who prays grows; and the muscles of the soul swell from this whipcord to iron bands. ⏤ Leonard Ravenhill

O God, the Author of our being and the Preserver of our lives—we come to Your throne of grace this evening, placing ourselves under Your care for the night. Bless us and grant us Your special peace. Cleanse our hearts before You, and do not take Your Holy Spirit from us. Shine the light of Your countenance upon us, and grant us Your salvation.

The evening is here; come, O Jesus, and abide with us. Keep us securely in Your care. Strengthen our faith so that it will not fail. May we always keep our eyes on You, setting You before us, so that we do not lose our way. We are too prone to trust our own desires and to choose our own ways. Help us to always do what pleases You so that we do not sin against You. Keep us from discouragement and despair. May we learn to leave all the affairs of our lives in Your hands, trusting You to bring about what is best for us and for Your glory. Teach us how to commit our way to You so that You may bring forth our righteousness.

We bring before You each member of our home. You know each one of us and all our needs. You know the temptations each of us faces—they are not the same, though we live under the same roof. Match Your grace to our specific dangers and needs. Reveal Yourself to us always as the Friend we need, offering the help we need.

Sanctify all the experiences of the day for us. May our disappointments prove to be Your appointments, and may the way You have led us be indeed the right way. In Your great mercy, forgive all our sins, and bring us into Your heavenly kingdom through Jesus Christ. Amen.

2. Glorify God by Giving Thanks.
It is all for your sake, so that as grace extends to more and more people it may increase thanksgiving, to the glory of God. (2 Corinthians 4:15)

Gratitude to God is a joyful emotion. We have a sense of joyful indebtedness for his grace. So in a sense in the very emotion of gratitude, we are still the beneficiaries. But by its very nature, gratitude glorifies the giver. When we feel thankful, we acknowledge our need and God’s beneficence, God’s fullness, the riches of his glory.

Just like I humble myself and exalt the server in the restaurant when I say, “Thank you,” so I humble myself and exalt God when I feel gratitude to him. The difference, of course, is that I really am infinitely in debt to God for his grace, and everything he does for me is free and undeserved.

But the point is that gratitude glorifies the giver. It glorifies God. And this is Paul’s final goal in all his labors. Yes, his labors are for the sake of the church — the good of the church. But the church is not the highest goal. Listen again: “It is all for your sake, so that as grace extends to more and more people it may increase thanksgiving, to the glory of God.” All for your sake — for the glory of God!

The wonderful thing about the gospel is that the response it requires from us for God’s glory is also the response that is most natural and joyful; namely, thankfulness for grace. God’s all-supplying glory in giving and our humble gladness in receiving are not in competition. Joyful thankfulness glorifies God.

A life that gives glory to God for his grace and a life of deepest gladness are the same life. And what makes them one is thankfulnes

God’s Picture for Marriage and the Family Part II – (Proverbs 31:10-12)
God’s Picture for Marriage and the Family Part II
Daily Proverbs

She seeks wool and flax, and willingly works with her hands. She is like the merchant ships, she brings her food from afar. She also rises while it is yet night, and provides food for her household, and a portion for her maidservants.– (Proverbs 31:10-12)
Daily Bible Study
Here the picture is about hard work in order to support the family and promote harmony within the household. The excellent wife is industrious as she makes sure that her family is well cared for, seeking out the best foods for her family’s health and enjoyment. She plans ahead and plans well. Instead of executing her tasks on the spur of the moment she plans ahead knowing when, where and who to purchase from. And in many cases the mom’s role was to not only manage the home, but multiple workers, much like a small business. Therefore, we shouldn’t pass over this too quickly, because our society has perverted the image of the mother and the wife in our modern world. The world today makes women feel that they have to live multiple lives, that they have to do everything. That some how women need to be full-time employees, full time moms and wives, when that is not true, and was never intended by God.

The fallen world would like us all to ignore that a mom’s role is one of the most important roles a person can have. Mom’s function as the coordinator of family life and serve as the glue which holds families together. And this is one of the most important roles in society. However, Satan and this fallen world have sent us the message that somehow being home with the family meant you were less fulfilled and less important than others. We have to understand that the ultimate goal of Satan and this fallen world is to destroy families, not to build them up. Satan’s goal is to create a society where families do not exist and children belong not to a close knit family group, but instead to society, why? Because then they are under the influence and control of a fallen world where the presence of God is not felt. Satan and this fallen world are at enmity against God, they hate God and the people of God, and therefore they hate the family structure God has blessed. Moreover, Satan knows that destroying the family destroys society, this is because the family is the basic building block of society. Without the family structure, society cannot exist and breaks down into chaos, promoting civil and political unrest, thereby turning the nation as a whole, away from God and destroying it from the inside out.
