Obey God for Your Good

Some people think that when God says, “Don’t do this,” He’s just trying to stop them from enjoying life. But that’s not true. God’s boundaries are for our safety. They are acts of love, not punishment.

If a parent says to a child, “Don’t touch the fire,” it’s not because the parent hates the child. It’s because they love them and know the danger. It’s the same with God. He’s not insecure. He’s not trying to prove anything. He’s trying to keep us alive.

When God says, “Don’t get involved with this group” or “Don’t go there,” He knows what’s on the other side. He sees the end from the beginning. We often see only the excitement, the promise, the appearance. But He sees the death underneath the makeup.

When we ignore Him, we don’t just break rules. We damage ourselves. Every time you violate God’s command, you invite judgment. You remove His protection. You step out of the safe zone.

And when you get burnt, don’t say God failed you. Ask if you ignored Him.

Let’s stop arguing with God’s word. Let’s stop twisting it to suit our desires. Let’s stop following people who teach us how to dodge obedience. They are leading you into pits.
