๐Ÿ•Š DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 333
DATE: 29TH NOVEMBER, 2025
TOPIC: RISE, TAKE UP YOUR BED AND WALK
ANCHOR SCRIPTURE:JOHN 5:8–11 (KJV)
“Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.”
DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE

For 38 years, the impotent man lay by the pool of Bethesda, watching others step into opportunities he longed for. Yet when Jesus appeared, He gave him a simple but life-changing instruction: “Rise, take up your bed, and walk.”

The bed in this context represents anything you have allowed to keep you stagnant — the gift you have refused to manifest, the divine idea you have not executed, the business plan you have sat on for years, the step God confirmed again and again yet you refused to take. For a student, the bed may be the books you have refused to study.

Many have stayed too long in cycles of murmuring, complaining, and blaming — blaming spouses, parents, relatives, teachers, pastors, or even God for where they are. But heaven is saying today: “Rise up. Take responsibility. Take up your bed and walk.”Only when you take responsibility for your life, gift, destiny, and assignment will God amplify your steps.

Consider the four lepers in 2 Kings. They could have blamed their condition, their families, or their society. But when they decided, “If we stay here, we die,” and took a step, God amplified their footsteps like chariots and caused their enemies to flee. Contrast this with Adam and Eve—who failed because they refused to take responsibility and shifted blame instead.

Many families, communities, and individuals are stuck in repeated cycles because no one has risen to take responsibility, to carry the burden for change, or to break the patterns that have lingered for generations. Heaven is waiting for a man or woman who will rise, partner with God, and become the vessel for a divine turnaround.

Do not remain a spectator like the impotent man watching others rise while you remain the same. From today, take up the bed you have sat upon for years — and walk.

PRAYER

Lord Jesus, give me the courage to rise and take responsibility for my destiny. Strengthen me to obey Your instruction, break every limiting pattern, and walk into the future You have prepared for me. Amen.
