Good evening, brethren.

1. Do you pray in the evening? Our evening prayer focuses on "Thankgiving and proction"

2. Do you know the fruitfulness of a godly life?

3. Are you living in a right relationship with God?

4. Are you a woman of faith?

To know more, read the message below:

1. Evening Prayer

I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety. ⏤ Psalm 4:8

Prayer does not fit us for the greater work; prayer is the greater work. ⏤ Oswald Chambers

What can we say to You, O God, tonight, to express our gratitude for all the goodness of this day? We can only bring You our hearts' humble worship and ask You to accept it. We lay the work of this week upon the altar. Cleanse what is wrong in it. Accept and use what is right.

Our thanks are due to You for all You have been to us this week. You have been our Shepherd, leading us into green pastures and beside still waters. You have been our refuge and strength, a very present help in times of trouble. You have been our fortress, into which we have run in times of danger, finding deliverance. You have been our companion along the way, our guide, our guardian, our friend, our deliverer, our helper.

Impress Yourself on our lives. Saturate our very being with Your own life, so that we may be transformed into Your own character!

We pray tonight for the world outside. Much of it is without You and without hope. Remember the homes around us that are godless and prayerless. Find a way, O God, to enter these homes so that the children, at least, may be saved. We also pray for those who have sorrow in their homes and cry out for comfort. Wipe away their tears by revealing the truths that bring true consolation.

We commit our own home to Your protection for the night. You who never slumber—be our keeper. Let no danger come near us. May Your peace rest upon our home. Prepare us for the duties of Sunday. May it please You to spare us and bless us in every good way. We ask in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen.

The Fruitfulness of a Godly Life – (Proverbs 31:26-29)
The Fruitfulness of a Godly Life
Daily Proverbs

Strength and honor are her clothing; she shall rejoice in time to come. She opens her mouth with wisdom, and on her tongue is the law of kindness. She watches over the ways of her household, and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: “Many daughters have done well, but you excel them all.” – (Proverbs 31:26-29)

Daily Bible Study
These passages show us the fruitfulness of godly behavior and thus the joy of a godly life. Strength and honor come from the Lord and as we see the excellent wife by placing her faith in God, receives strength, wisdom and guidance from the Lord. And by following the Lord, He has given her honor and a fruitful life with her family. These passages describe the character of a woman who fears the Lord. By studying and following God’s precepts she has gained wisdom. And by placing her trust in God, she has gained confidence.

In addition, her family praises her and calls her blessed. This phrase is meant to convey the thought that she has earned the praise, trust and respect of her family. Dear believer what we are seeing here is the results of a life that has been turned over to God. The woman described in these passages is one who settled the question long ago who would run her life. And she decided early on that God would direct her path and as a result, she has lived a fruitful and productive life. And that is the decision before us today, do we choose to go our own way to destruction, or God’s way which brings abundant joy and a life honoring to God?

4. Women of Faith

When Rhoda Christie knew Peter's voice, she opened not the gate for gladness, but ran in, and told how Peter stood before the gate. And they said unto her, Thou art mad. But she constantly affirmed that it was even so
- Acts 12:14-15

It is no accident that Rhoda is mentioned by name in this exciting account of Peter's miraculous escape from prison.

One of Luke's obvious objectives in narrating this event is to show, not only the power of God in delivering one of his apostles from certain death, but also the fact that this power was unleashed because of the faithful prayers of the saints on his behalf.

And, among all of those in the church who met together in constant prayer for Peter, there is one girl who stands out in Luke's story. Her name is Rhoda and she was probably a servant, one of the last people you would have noticed or been impressed with had you been present at the prayer meeting.

But Luke is impressed enough to mention her, because she is the only person participating in the prayer vigil who actually believed that God could answer their prayers! When she recognizes Peter's voice -- and the answer to their prayers -- she runs immediately to share the good news with the others.

Her joyful announcement, however, is met with an unexpected response: total disbelief. But Rhoda does not give in; she constantly affirms that God has graciously answered their prayers.

You, like Rhoda, may find yourself faced with the challenge of unbelieving believers. People who try to shrink your faith because of their own diminutive, sickly system of belief. But go forward in the constant, affirming faith that trusts in a God that does the impossible, that answers unbelievable prayers. http://www.baptistbiblehour.org/resources/devotional/women-of-faith-9/
