Good morning, brethren.
1. Do you pray in the morning? Our morning prayer focuses on "Looking to the Lord for help."
2. Does God feel distant?
3. Do you know about Christ muraculous conception?
4. Do you know about Christ's perfect sacrifice?

1. Morning Prayer
A Song of degrees. I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help [cometh] from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. ⏤ Psalm 121:1-2
The chief purpose of prayer is that God may be glorified in the answer. ⏤ R.A. Torrey
We lift up our eyes to the mountains. Where does our help come from? Our help comes from the Lord, the Maker of Heaven and earth. You will not let our feet slip. You who watch over us will not slumber. You are our keeper. You are our shade at our right hand. The sun will not harm us by day, nor the moon by night. You will keep us from all harm. You will watch over our lives. You will watch over our coming and going both now and forevermore.
We lift up our eyes to You who dwell in the heavens. As the eyes of servants look to the hand of their masters, and as the eyes of a maid look to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes look to You, O Lord our God, until You show us Your mercy.
Teach us Your will for this day. We earnestly desire to live out the plan of life You have for us. We know it is a beautiful and worthy plan. Reveal it to us as we go about our day. Show us this day’s portion of it, and help us to submit ourselves fully to Your guidance. Let us not ruin our lives by taking even the smallest part out of Your hands and into our own. Show us Your way, and make us willing to follow it, even if it is not the path we would choose.
Grant us a day filled with goodness and mercy. Let us not grieve You, nor turn away from Your commandments. Help us to live profitably, unselfishly, and purely. Show us our faults, and then help us to overcome them and put them away. Give us the grace to make restitution if we have taken anything from another that was not ours; may we be able to return it today. Let us never lie, steal, or defraud in any way. May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be upon us. Amen.

2. MORNING TEA. THE WORD FOR TODAY
TUESDAY DECEMBER 2, 2025.
"WHEN GOD FEELS DISTANT"
‘The Lord has hidden Himself…but I trust Him.’ Isaiah 8:17 GNT
DOES GOD feel distant? Floyd McClung writes: ‘You wake up one morning and all your ‘‘spiritual feelings’’ are gone. You pray, but nothing happens. You rebuke the devil, but it doesn’t change anything. You go through spiritual exercises, have your friends pray for you, confess every sin you can imagine, then go around asking forgiveness of everyone you know. You fast; still nothing. You begin to wonder how long this spiritual gloom will last. It feels like your prayers bounce off the ceiling. In utter frustration you cry out: ‘‘What’s the matter with me?’’ This is a normal part of the testing and maturing of your friendship with God. We all go through it. It’s painful, but it’s absolutely vital to developing your faith. You see, God is always present, even when you are unaware of Him. His presence is too profound to be measured by intellect or emotion. He’s more concerned that you trust Him than that you feel Him. ‘‘Faith, not feelings, is what pleases God’’ (Hebrews 11:6). You ask, ‘‘So what can I do?’’ Isaiah answers, ‘‘The Lord has hidden Himself…but I trust Him.’’ Focus on God’s unchanging love and faithfulness. Cling to His promises. During times of spiritual dryness, rest on His Word, not your feelings. Realise that He’s taking you to a deeper level of maturity. Any friendship based strictly on emotion is shallow indeed. So don’t be troubled by trouble—God’s grace is still in full force! He’s with you even when you don’t feel Him.’ His word to you today is, ‘Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you’ (Hebrews 13:5 NIV).

*DATE:*
TUESDAY 2ND DECEMBER, 2025.
*SUB-THEME:*
EMMANUEL-GOD WITH US.
*TOPIC:*
MIRACULOUS CONCEPTION.
*TEXT:*
MATTHEW 1:18-24.
18. This is how the birth of Jesus the Messiah came about : His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be pregnant through the Holy Spirit.
19. Because Joseph her husband was faithful to the law, and yet did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly.
20. But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, "Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.
21. She will give birth to a son, and you are to give Him the name Jesus, because He will save His people from their sins."
22. All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet:
23. "The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call Him Immanuel" (which means "God with us").
24. When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife.
*TOPIC:*
MIRACULOUS CONCEPTION.
*THE MESSAGE:*
Mary was told that her conception will be by the power of the Holy Spirit, a miracle that has never happened in human history (Lk. 1:34-35). Joseph and Mary's engagement was a serious formal and legally binding agreement. Mary's conception was miraculous, indicating divine origin of Jesus. Joseph did not understand this, so he wanted to quietly separate with her without putting her to public disgrace, but the angel of the Lord ministered to him. Jesus' conception had to be special in order to save humanity from sin. Sadly, many young Christians are living in fornication, claiming it is love. Be warned, marriage is a sacred institution, it requires a saintly relationship.
*REFLECTION:*
Understanding the miraculous conception is essential.
*PRAYER:*
Lord, help me to understand this miracle. Amen.

```KEY VERSE:``` _*"For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us" (HEBREWS 9:24).*_
*In his _"Knowing Christ",_ Craig Glickman says that when Lincoln's body was brought from Washington to Illinois, it passed through Albany and was carried through the street. They say a black woman stood upon the curb and lifted her little son as far as she could reach above the heads of the crowd and was heard to say to him, "Take a long look, honey. He died for you." "So, if I could, I would lift up your spirit to see Calvary. Take a long look; He died for you."*
*Today's passage lifts up the sacrifice of Jesus Christ so we can take a long look at how He died for us. The writer dwells on the perfection and superiority of Christ's sacrifice over the animal sacrifices of the Old Covenant. Although God instituted the Tabernacle and its Levitical sacrifices, they were temporary measures until Jesus Christ would come to fulfil all they foreshadowed. The text highlights some limitations of the Levitical system and its services. Its tabernacle was earthly, and the sacrifices were repetitive, as they could not fully atone for sin.*
*In contrast, Jesus, our perfect High Priest, has entered the heavenly tabernacle, offering Himself as a perfect sacrifice for sin. This sacrifice is perfect, sufficient, efficacious, and final - never to be repeated. The sacrifice of Jesus has accomplished what the Old Covenant could not do in securing forgiveness and redemption for us.*
*The benefits of Christ's perfect sacrifice are further expressed in His three appearances for believers, as stated in the passage. He appeared first at His incarnation and died to take away our sins. Having satisfied the claims of God's justice, all who believe in Him are justified. At present, He appears before the Father as our Representative and Intercessor. In the future, He will appear to give final salvation to all expecting His coming. But those who reject the perfect sacrifice of Christ will face judgment after they die. Reflect on these and respond appropriately to Christ's perfect sacrifice.*
