FAITH THAT STANDS IN THE FIRE

A WORD FROM THE WORD:

"Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego answered and said to the king, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter. If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king. But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up." Daniel 3:16-18 NKJV.

One of the weapons of the enemy uses against the child of God is fear. Fear is the Devil's executioner. But the good thing is, that doesn't cancel out God's goodness which He's ever willing, and able to demonstrate in your life and that of all His children. Whenever you're frightened or afraid, it is simply saying to God, 'I don't trust You.'
Of what use is it for any person seeking the help of God, and yet doesn't trust Him?

How you interpret and react to whatever that is happening to you determines whether you pass a vote of confidence on God or not. The three Hebrew children in the King's service in Babylon, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, were not men given to fear, therefore, were not afraid of whatever severity would come on them.
You can conveniently say that in a seeming difficult situation, they were proclaiming the goodness of God in their actions. There's no situation that God cannot use to show His goodness to and on behalf of those who trust and repose confidence in Him.

Trusting God in dry land and difficult situations is not easy (humanly speaking), but there's an incontrovertible truth and reality about it all: The goodness of our great God.

PRAYER BULLETS:

ABBA Father, I'm very grateful for Your goodness to me. Give me a faith that rises in the heat of life's fire.
May I never be afraid of the devil or take your goodness for granted.

FURTHER READING:

Daniel 3:16-18; Acts 16:25-26; Matthew 14:28-31; 1 John 4:4-6.
