Good morning, brethren.
1. Do you pray in the morning? Our morning prayer focuses on "Learning cheerfulness amid trials."
2. How are you a positive influence?
3. Do you have an evil heart of influence?
4. Do you fight your marriage? P.1.
To know more, read the message below:
1. Morning Prayer
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. โค John 16:33
There is nothing that makes us love a man so much as praying for him. โค William Law
May You teach us the lesson of cheerfulness, O God. We are too easily irritated and cast down. We let little troubles and difficulties discourage us. Our joy is too easily overshadowed. Our song of gladness too often turns into a dirge. We fret ourselves needlessly and fail to rejoice always. Sorrows come over us like a flood and bury us beneath their dark waves. Our gladness is too easily turned to sadness as lifeโs cares and trials come upon us.
We hear You bidding us to be of good cheer because You have overcome the world, telling us that though we have tribulations, we may have peace in You. But the lesson is not easy. Itโs hard for us to keep the song always in our hearts and the sunshine always on our faces when there are so many cares.
We come to You, pleading that You will teach us how to always be cheerful. Help us to have such a strong, quiet, firm faith in Jesus that no matter what comes into our lives, we may always rejoice. Rescue us from discouragement, no matter how great its cause may appear to be. Help us to cast every burden on You, sure that You will sustain us. Help us to learn to rejoice even in disappointments, knowing that if we could see all as You see, we would find beauty and good in everything that seems painful and dark to us.
We desire to be ministers of cheer to others. Forbid that we should go out with sadness in our faces, casting a shadow on other lives. May we be sunshine to others. May we show the world what grace can do in making us messengers of gladness. We ask this in the name of Him who overcame the world and can give us peace. Amen.

*Four ministers were discussing the merits of various translations of the Bible. One ranked the King James Version best because of its simple, beautiful English. Another liked the American Standard Version best because it is more literal and comes nearer the original Hebrew and Greek. The third liked Moffatt's Translation best because of its up-to-date vocabulary. The fourth minister was silent when asked to express his opinion. He replied, "I like my mother's translation best." The other ministers wondered what he was driving at. "Yes", he replied "mother translated the Bible into everyday life and it was the most convincing translation I ever saw." What a positive influence the mother was to this man who later became a minister of the gospel!*
*Our text affirms Paul the apostle as an uncompromising minister of the gospel who demonstrated great influence on the churches and the brethren of his days. He was so consistent in his preaching that the Christians at Antioch saw the need to compliment his ministry by giving him Barnabas and Titus to be his companions. He preached Christ as the Saviour to the Gentiles and to the Jews. He emphasised His vicarious death as the only remedy for the sin of man. His message was to the generality of the Gentiles and to people of high reputation to whom he expounded the truth without fear of persons. Paul was a positive influence that boldly resisted the negative influence of some so-called brethren who attempted to make his converts among the Gentiles put their trust in circumcision, instead of trusting in the finished work of Christ at Calvary.*
*To make a positive impact today, we must live out the Christian life that we profess; be uncompromising in the preaching of the gospel; stand against those walking contrary to the pure gospel; avoid and resist them, so as to keep the Church of Christ holy.*

4. MORNING TEA. THE WORD FOR TODAY
WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 3, 2025.
"FIGHT FOR YOUR MARRIAGE (1)"
โUnless the Lord builds the house, they labour in vain who build it.โ Psalms 127:1 NKJV
IT'S EASY to remember where and when you got married, but sometimes what escapes you is why. God created Eve because He knew Adam was lonely and incomplete. So if the purpose of marriage is closeness, the enemy of marriage is distance. But problems arise when you expect your spouse to meet every need youโve got. Only God can do that! A man asked his friend, โHow come you never got married?โ He replied, โBecause I was looking for the ideal woman.โ โAnd you never found her?โ his friend asked. โYes, of course, but just my luckโshe was looking for the ideal man.โ Hello! The Bible says, โHusbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for herโ (Ephesians 5:25 NKJV). Can a marriage ever be perfect? No, but when two people make up their minds to give themselves fully to one another, they can come pretty close. In a survey of thousands of married couples, here are ten reasons why people said they were unhappy: 1) They didnโt think alike in many areas. 2) They had little insight into each otherโs feelings. 3) They said hurtful things to one other. 4) They felt unloved. 5) They felt taken for granted. 6) They lacked someone to confide in. 7) Each spouse felt he or she was giving more than the other. 8) They rarely complimented each other. 9) They desired more affection. 10) They couldnโt talk to each other. Now, since God performed the first marriage, talking to Him about yours would be a good place to start.
