THE FAITHFULNESS OF GOD'S PROMISES

A WORD FROM THE WORD:

"I will give you every place where you set your foot, as I promised Moses." Joshua 1:3 NIV.

God is ever faithful to His words and promises. When He speaks a word, He means it. His word is not limited by any generation but destined for fulfilment in all generations. That is why He keeps His promises as an oath. The Scripture says that He exalts His word above His name, (Psalm 138:2).

We ought, therefore, to walk in His promises. This is what He told Joshua, the successor of Moses. Rather than recant His words, the LORD God recounts His word. 'I will give you every place where you set your foot, as I promised Moses.' (Joshua 1:3). This means that even before you take action on His promise, He has gone ahead in time to put in place what He promised. His goodness and riches are there waiting for you to take hold of them.

You should be mindful of the following limiting factors that are capable of stopping you.

1). Capacity:

You must endeavour to embrace your potential. The LORD has laid all His good pleasures before you. Your capacity and tenacity will determine the degree of your success.

2). Faithlessness:

Another factor is the level of your faith. The LORD Jesus says 'If you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.' (Matthew 17:20 NKJV). God works with you according to the capacity and tenacity of your faith.

3). Disobedience:

The third factor is your obedience to God's word. Deuteronomy 11:8 says, 'Therefore you shall keep every commandment which I command you today, that you may be strong, and go in and possess the land which you cross over to possess.' God has put your blessings in place; be mindful of the limiting factors that could stop you from accessing them, therefore embrace your potentials.

PRAYER BULLETS:

ABBA Father, thank You for the potentials of capacity, faith and obedience given to me. Engrace me to fully embrace them to Your glory.

FURTHER READING:

Deuteronomy 28:1-14; John 6:1.
