THE PILGRIMS GUIDE

YOUR PERSPECTIVE DETERMINES YOUR PORTION

A WORD FROM THE WORD:

"... The LORD said to Joshua, 'Today I have rolled away the reproach of Egypt from you.' So the place has been called Gilgal to this day." Joshua 5:9 NIV.

The name Gilgal means to 'roll away.' Anything you do in life as a believing child of God and there's a reproach, there should be a place of Gilgal in your life also. All the men that were of military age when the Israelites left Egypt died in the wilderness, save for Joshua and Caleb, who gave a good report of the land they went to espy.

If you've been called a failure and you accept it, then, it would naturally stick, but when you stand with God, and not what people are saying about you, then you have the best chances of having your reproaches rolled away.
Joshua and Caleb were foretelling Israel's victories in their reports. Though they saw real giants in the land that were capable of posing as obstacles to them, but through the eyes of faith, they saw God giving them victory, and they so confessed. That's faith in God and what it can do with true confession. Your perspective in the real sense of God's Word determines your portion.
For any man to have his reproach rolled away, that man must be a covenant keeper, and as believers in Christ Jesus, our covenant is in Him.

Now in the New Testament era, it is the circumcision of the heart that takes away every evil thoughts and plans from your life, powered by your faith in God's Word.
You must abide by the principles of the New Covenant that is in Christ Jesus to experience the rolling away of reproaches of sin and worldliness.

PRAYER BULLETS:

ABBA Father, I thank You for the privilege of the salvation of my soul and the rolling away of the reproaches of sin and worldiness in my life.

FURTHER READING:

Joshua 5:2-12; Genesis 17:9-11; Numbers 14:1-38; John 17:17.
