*🕊 DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 340*
* DATE: 6TH DECEMBER, 2025*
*TOPIC: THIS SITUATION IS NOT UNTO DEATH*
*ANCHOR SCRIPTURE: John 11:4 (KJV)*
*“This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.”*
*Devotional Message*

I know you may be going through challenges that make you wonder whether God still sees what you are facing. You ask yourself many questions — How can I lose my job yet I served God faithfully? How did I lose that court case? Why is that sickness not getting healed? But child of God, Jesus is telling you today: your situation is not unto death, but that the Son of God may be glorified through it.

When Jesus received the news of Lazarus’ sickness, the Bible says He declared, “This sickness is not unto death.” Yet He still stayed two more days. By the time He arrived, Lazarus had been dead four days. Still, Jesus said He was glad He wasn't there earlier — so that their faith would be strengthened. And when He raised Lazarus, many Jews believed in Him. The miracle was ultimately about expanding the Kingdom and glorifying the Father, not just solving a crisis.

Had Jesus arrived early, they might have credited medicine, their effort, or natural recovery for Lazarus’ healing. And it's the same with you. If Jesus stepped into your situation immediately, you might have glorified your money, your connections, your lawyers, your doctors, or those who helped you — instead of giving Him all the glory. So God sometimes waits until you come to the end of yourself, like the woman with the issue of blood, so that when He steps in, only His name is glorified.

Child of God, it’s not that God is ignoring your situation. He is preparing to attend to it in a way that will silence every critic who doubted the Jesus you serve — just like those who said, “Could not this man who opened the eyes of the blind have kept Lazarus from dying?” What they didn’t know was that Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life.

Your situation is about to turn around — not just for your comfort, but for the strengthening of your faith, for bringing others to believe, and for bringing glory to God. Hold on. God is about to change your story from sorrow to joy, from frustration to peace, from questions to testimonies.

*Prayer*

Lord Jesus, give me the patience to trust Your timing. Strengthen my faith to believe that my situation is not unto death. Step into my circumstances in a way that brings You glory and draws many to salvation. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
