THE PILGRIMS GUIDE THURSDAY DECEMBER 11, 2025 THE LIVING AND ACTIVE POWER OF GOD'S WORD 3 A WORD FROM THE WORD: "For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires."' Hebrews 4:12 NLT. Another thing about God's Word is that it is 'sharper than any two-edged sword.' It cuts deep, not for destruction, but for cleansing and correction. The Word of God exposes sin, convicts the heart, and separates truth from error. When God's Word cuts, it brings healing and purity, shapes you into the very image of the LORD Jesus Christ. The Word of God is not powerless, but living and active. When you believe and live by it, it changes everything about you. To see and experience your desired change for good in Godliness and living, you must endeavour to allow God's Word to dwell in you richly. God's Word sees way beyond human perception, and reveals the hidden motives of the human heart as it exposes hypocrisy, and guides you into right standing with God. You must endeavour to approach God's Word with humility, and allow it to judge your thoughts and intentions rather than trying to make it to suit your desires. PRAYER BULLETS: Father LORD, thank You for Your living and active Word. Fill me with a deep hunger Your Word, and let it dwell richly in me.
