In a small Southern town, a Nativity scene showed the three wise men wearing firemen’s helmets. A visitor from New York stopped in a store and asked the lady behind the counter about the helmets. She yelled at her, “You darn Yankees never do read the Bible!” She pulled out her Bible from behind the counter and, after turning some pages, pointed her finger at a passage. “See, it says right here, ‘The three wise men came from afar.’”
