*TOPIC: LOVE: THE FULFILLMENT OF GODтАЩS COMMANDMENTS*
*ANCHOR SCRIPTURE: John 14:21, Matthew 22:37тАУ40 (NKJV)*
> тАЬHe who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me.тАЭ тАФ John 14:21
*DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE*

Jesus made it very clear to His disciples that the greatest proof of our love for Him is obedience. He said, тАЬIf you love Me, keep My commandments,тАЭ and when Judas (not Iscariot) asked how He would manifest Himself to the world, Jesus emphasized again that anyone who loves Him will keep His Word. This reveals a powerful truth: love for Jesus is not emotionalтАФit is practical, expressed through obedience to the Word of God.

Jesus summarized the entire law into two commandments: to love God with all your heart, soul, strength, and mind, and to love your neighbor as yourself. When we truly love God, we will not live in sin or engage in practices that grieve the Holy Spirit. Our lives, conduct, speech, and decisions will be shaped by the desire to please Him and bring Him glory.

Loving your neighbor is the outward expression of loving God. If you love your neighbor, you will not covet what belongs to them, steal from them, envy their success, commit adultery, or seek their downfall. Instead, you will rejoice in their progress, protect their dignity, and treat them with honorтАФjust as you would desire to be treated.

In essence, love fulfills the entire law. The Ten Commandments and the Word of God are summarized in one principle: love for God and love for people. Where genuine love exists, obedience flows naturally, relationships are preserved, and God is glorified.

*PRAYER*

Father, teach me to love You not just in words but in obedience. Help me to walk in Your truth and to love others sincerely, without envy or selfishness. Let my life reflect Your love and bring glory to Your Name. In JesusтАЩ Name, Amen.
