THE PILGRIMS GUIDE TUESDAY DECEMBER 16, 2025 THE PRIVILEGE OF GIVING TO GOD AND HIS WORK A WORD FROM THE WORD: "But you shall remember [with profound respect] the Lord your God, for it is He who is giving you power to make wealth, that He may confirm His covenant which He swore (solemnly promised) to your fathers, as it is this day." Deuteronomy 8:18 AMP. Most people only give to God and His work when their emotions​ are appealed to, and so they sometimes ignorantly boast about it and see themselves as helping out in God's work. That is not right​ and should not be so. We see Pastors and Church leaders overreaching themselves with needless programmes and ecclesiastical gimmicks in other to make people to give, as a result of the above mindset. Every believing child of God should realise and recognise God as the Source of their wealth; yes, it is God that gives you and I, the power to make wealth, not by your qualification, and this same God is the One building His Church. Giving to God is a privilege and not a thing to boast about, we don't give to God because He is in lack, but our giving is a part of our worship to Him, and as such, should be acceptable to Him. Our God is greater than your so called wealth, we cannot give to Him as it were, this is due to the fact that what you give to Him is actually what you had received from Him​. PRAYER BULLETS: LORD Jesus, bless me with a better understanding of giving to You and Your work. Engrace me to worship You with the substance You have blessed me with.
