DECEMBER UNITY PRAYER - A MONTH OF PRAYER, FAITH AND DIVINE HEALTH
DAY 17
DELIVERANCE FROM EVIL ARROWS
Text: Psalm 91:5–7, Isaiah 54:17, Ephesians 6:16
Introduction
In the spiritual realm, the Bible often uses the language of warfare to describe the believer’s life. One of such images is evil arrows—invisible attacks sent by the enemy to cause pain, confusion, delay, sickness, fear, or destruction. These arrows may come through words, dreams, witchcraft, envy, hatred, or sudden calamities. But the good news is this: God is our Deliverer, and no arrow fired against a child of God can succeed.
Biblical Foundation
Psalm 91:5–6 – “You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day.”
Isaiah 54:17 – “No weapon formed against you shall prosper.”
Ephesians 6:16 – “Above all, taking the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.”
Psalm 64:7 – “But God shall shoot at them with an arrow; suddenly they shall be wounded.”
Metaphor: The Shielded Soldier
A soldier on the battlefield may not see the arrow before it is released, but his safety depends on his shield. The arrow may fly, but the shield determines whether it penetrates or falls harmlessly to the ground.
In the same way, believers are shielded by faith, righteousness, prayer, and the blood of Jesus. Evil arrows may be fired, but they cannot pierce a life that is hidden in Christ.
Understanding Evil Arrows
Evil arrows can manifest as:
Sudden hatred or rejection without cause
Repeated failure or near-success syndrome
Strange sickness or heaviness
Night attacks and fearful dreams
Negative words spoken to destroy destiny
But arrows are not permanent—they can be returned, destroyed, and neutralized by divine power.
Reflection
Are there patterns of attacks in your life that cannot be explained naturally?
Have you experienced sudden discouragement, fear, or spiritual weakness?
Are you actively wearing God’s armor, or are you exposed on the battlefield?
Deliverance is not just about fighting the enemy; it is about standing in the finished work of Christ. Jesus already took the ultimate arrow on the cross so that we might live in victory.
Declaration (Say Aloud in Faith)
I declare that I am hidden in Christ, and no evil arrow shall locate me.
Every arrow fired against my life, family, and destiny is destroyed by the power of God.
I wear the shield of faith; I quench every fiery dart of the wicked.
I walk in divine protection, divine health, and divine peace.
My life is untouchable by the forces of darkness, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Prayer Points
1. Father Lord, arise and scatter every power shooting evil arrows against my life, in Jesus’ name.
2. Every arrow of sickness, failure, confusion, and death fired against me—backfire now, in Jesus’ name.
3. By the blood of Jesus, I receive total deliverance from known and unknown spiritual attacks.
4. Lord, surround me with Your fire and make me unapproachable to the enemy.
5. I receive fresh grace to wear the full armor of God daily, in Jesus’ name.
6. O God of vengeance, fight every hidden battle assigned to destroy my destiny.
7. I decree that my household is covered by divine protection, now and always, in Jesus’ name.
Conclusion
Evil arrows may be real, but God’s power is greater. When you dwell in God’s presence and stand in faith, arrows lose their direction, their speed, and their effect.
Remember: the arrow may fly, but it will not prevail.
