*🕊 DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 351*
* DATE:17TH DECEMBER, 2025*
*TOPIC: SPEAKING THE TRUTH*
*ANCHOR SCRIPTURE:JOHN 17:17(NKJV)*
*“SANCTIFY THEM BY YOUR TRUTH. YOUR WORD IS TRUTH.”*
*DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE*
While Jesus walked on earth, He made it clear that He never spoke from Himself. He said, “I speak what I have heard from My Father.” This reveals a powerful truth: Jesus did not speak based on emotions, public opinion, or personal convenience, but strictly according to the will and voice of the Father. That is why His words carried authority, conviction, and life.
In His prayer for believers in John 17, Jesus asked the Father to sanctify us by the truth, clearly defining that God’s Word is truth. This shows us that truth is not determined by popularity or majority but by its source. Anything that comes from God is truth, and anything outside Him is deception. As ambassadors of Christ, we are therefore called to speak only what Heaven authorizes, even when it is uncomfortable or unpopular.
The story of Micaiah in 1 Kings 22 gives us a sobering lesson. While four hundred prophets spoke encouraging words to King Ahab, Micaiah stood alone as the true prophet of the Lord. Despite pressure to conform, he declared that he would only speak what God told him to speak. His message did not please the king, but it was the truth—and truth does not need numbers to stand.
Child of God, this is a call to remain faithful to the authentic Gospel. Do not dilute God’s message to suit people’s preferences. When truth is compromised, souls perish, and those entrusted with the message will give an account before God. This is why Jesus gave us the Holy Spirit—the Spirit of truth—to dwell in us and guide our words, so that we speak not from human wisdom but from divine instruction.
*Prayer*
Father, sanctify me by Your truth. Help me to speak only what You require of me and not what pleases men. Fill me afresh with the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of truth, that I may stand boldly for You without compromise. Make me a faithful ambassador of Christ in every place You have positioned me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
