1. Morning Prayer
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew [their] strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; [and] they shall walk, and not faint. ⏤ Isaiah 40:31
Prayer is the greatest of all forces, because it honors God and brings Him into active aid. ⏤ E.M. Bounds
O God, we would be strong for this new day, and we wait upon You to renew our strength. You have given us renewal in sleep—and we thank You for this. You give Your beloved sleep—and You give them blessings while sleeping. For the goodness of the night, we give You hearty thanks.
We need also spiritual strength for the day that is before us.
We shall meet temptations.
We shall have duties to perform.
We shall have burdens to carry.
We shall have conflicts with the evil that is in the world.
We need strength for all these experiences. You only can give us what we need. You are our refuge and our strength—a very present help in times of trouble. You have promised to be with us and to strengthen us. You have said that as our days are—so shall our strength be, and that Your grace is sufficient for us. We accept these assurances, believing that we shall obtain help from You for every duty and every struggle.
We desire that this shall be a profitable day. Lord, give us faith that we may not fail of Your help at any point. Let us not faint nor grow weary in our work. We go to our different duties and tasks in Jesus' precious name, and we desire to live for You all the day.
Bless our home life. Bless our work and business. Bless our association with neighbors and friends. Fill us with Your love, that we may live worthily all the day, affectionately as a family, bearing one another's burdens, in peace with all people as much as lies in us, and compassionately toward the troubled, the sorrowing, and the sinning. Keep us from accidents and injuries as we go about. Give us good health. Make us wise unto salvation. And to Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, we will give praise forever and ever. Amen.

2. MORNING TEA. THE WORD FOR TODAY
THURSDAY DECEMBER 18, 2025.
"MIND MANAGEMENT (3)"
‘For we are God’s handiwork.’ Ephesians 2:10 NIV
YOUR MIND is the doorway to your heart, and when a questionable thought arises, you always have a choice. You can throw the door open and let it in, or do what the Bible says: ‘Fight to capture every thought until it acknowledges the authority of Christ’
(2 Corinthians 10:5 PHPS). In other words, capture the thought before it captures you. Let’s say a thought regarding your self-worth arises and says, ‘You’ve been a loser all your life. You’ve failed in relationships and jobs and ambitions. You might as well write ‘‘loser’’ on your CV, for that’s what you are.’ The average person would say to that thought, ‘You’re right; come on in.’ But you’re not the average person! You’re a new creation in Christ, led by His Spirit. So rather than let the thought in, take it captive, present it to the Lord and say, ‘Jesus, this thought says I’m a loser and I’ll never amount to anything. What do You think?’ See what you’re doing? You’re submitting that thought to the authority of Jesus. If He agrees with it, then let it in. If not, kick it to the kerb! How do you know if He agrees or disagrees? Open your Bible and find out what God says about you. ‘We are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do’(Jeremiah 1:5). What about this one? ‘Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus’ (Romans 8:1 NIV). Any thought that doesn’t line up with God’s Word doesn’t pass the test—and doesn’t gain entrance. That’s how you manage your mind!

THURSDAY 18TH DECEMBER, 2025```
*THE TIME OF JACOB'S TROUBLE* 🫵🏽🏽🏽🏾🏾🏽
```TEXT:DANIEL 12:5-13```
```KEY VERSE:``` _*"And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end" (DANIEL 12:9).*_
*Our text concludes the series of predictions about eschatological events revealed by God to Daniel the prophet, concerning the nation Israel. The chapter opens the curtain on the pivotal focus of this prophecy - the many troubles the nation of Israel would face in the latter days referred to variously in different parts of the Bible. "There shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book" (Daniel 7:25; 9:27; 12:7; Revelation 11:2, 3; 12:6, 14; 13:5). Daniel had the privilege of receiving the series of revelations about the events of the last days. Many of these, especially the catastrophic sufferings during the great tribulation that will befall the nation of Israel, saddened him and made him worried about his people. His genuine concern and burden for his people to survive that period serves as a lesson for all of us.*
*The events in the passage will occur after the Church has been raptured, and the reign of the Anti-christ kicks in, in the second half of the great tribulation period. Although the troubles will be global, the sufferings will be essentially most intense on the nation of Israel. But she would not be obliterated as deliverance will come her way at the appearance of the Messiah, at the second advent when He returns to establish His millennial kingdom. Israel will mourn and lament for the manner they treated the Messiah at His first coming.*
*This brought home to us the lesson on timely decision for the Messiah. In the history of God's dealings with man, we are in the period known as the Church Age, the period of grace. All who have been saved by faith in Christ and are righteous will be raptured with the saints. Suppose anyone rejects salvation at this period of grace; what guarantees that such will endure the intense sufferings of the great tribulation and escape eternal doom? This is therefore the period to accept the salvation that Christ brought to mankind, live in holiness daily, and proclaim the gospel so that others can escape the impending judgment.*

*THE LAST DAYS CLOCK IS TICKING*
*TEXT:* DANIEL 12:5-13.
5 Then I Daniel looked, and, behold, there stood other two, the one on this side of the bank of the river, and the other on that side of the bank of the river.
6 And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?
7 And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.
8 And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things?
9 And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.
10 Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.
11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.
12 Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.
13 But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days.
*Timeless Truth:*_"But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased"_ (Daniel 12:4).
*INTRODUCTION*
The issue of the predictions of the last days events is a curious issue among the wise people who take the issue of eternity with all seriousness. It shifts the attention and affection of the wise from temporary, decaying, perishing and corrupting things of this world to indestructible, permanent, incorrigible and indescribable wealth of heaven. The knowledge of it keeps the saints alert, awake and alive in Christ so as not to eternally perish. It gives a compelling reason why sinners and backsliders should repent from their sins and prepare for eternity. There is no religious or psychological book ever known to man that is as truthful and precise on predictions that have to do with the last days apart from the Holy Bible. The prophecies of Daniel, though written over two thousand years ago, has witnessed remarkable fulfilment over the years and thus guarantees that other ones that are yet to be fulfilled will surely be fulfilled.
*1. Definite Reassurance*
a. All the prophecies of Daniel had the Jewish people in mind. The phrases *"for the children of thy people"*, *"thy people shall be delivered"* and *"thy holy city"* all show its Jewish context. However, the prophetic utterances cannot be separated from God's plan for the Gentile nations. An ignorance of God's plan for the Jews will result in ignorance of God's plan for the Gentiles of which we are part. Before the text, Daniel had been told of the coming Antichrist and the unprecedented sufferings of the Jews under the reign of this sinister figure. He was informed of the resurrection of the dead and the 1000 years of the physical and visible reign of Jesus Christ. Is it just a mere dream of a mortal? Daniel was given precisely the number of days and the time each event will take place. The Revelation was not vague, but precise beyond any shadow of guessing. *"Then I Daniel looked"* and saw two angels on either side of the bank of the river. This time, God chose the river side for His revelation. God cannot be confined to any location. He uses any of His creations for His purpose. *"And one said to the man clothed in linen"*. This one was also another angel as we could see him later swearing by God showing he is not God. He *"was upon the waters of the river"*. He was questioned by one of the first two angels. *"How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?"*. This shows that the angels don't have equal knowledge and none of them, at present have perfect knowledge. The same with Lucifer, also known as Satan would want to deceive the world, which he has done successfully, that he has all knowledge.
b. What was the answer given? *"And I heard the man clothed in linen...and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half"*. This, in modern terms, is three and half years. This is from the middle of seven years of Great Tribulation which would be very intense (Daniel 7:25, Revelation 13:5). At that time the Antichrist would be fully in charge globally. He will destroy and decimate the Jews in particular. *"And when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished"*. He would only be permitted to do his havoc for just three and half years though that short time would look like decades of unparalleled and unprecedented sufferings for many. There were other definite dates that were given. *"From the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be 1290 days"* which is 43 months. The daily sacrifice in the Temple at the time of the Antichrist will be stopped by the Antichrist at the beginning of the three and half years (42 months) of the great tribulation. Hence, the text mentions what would happen a month after the end of the Great Tribulation. Within that month and even some days after, multitudes of the armies of Antichrist would be buried, the land would be cleansed and sanitized, those who would be able to make the millennial reign of Christ would also be determined. This will continue until 1335 days or 44.5 months, I.e. 2 and half months after the Great Tribulation of 42 months. This is very precise that only divine revelation can be brought out.
*Question*
What is your response to these definite events that God has revealed to Daniel, and of course to mankind?
*2. Distant Revelation*
a. Most of those revelations, though true, were not understood by Daniel himself showing that he did not just make them up. *"And I heard, but I understood not"*. He asked questions so as to understand but could still not fully grasp it. *"Then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things?"*. Believers should be willing to ask questions from faithful ministers and directly from God too when needed. Why couldn't Daniel, filled with the Spirit of understanding, understand what he prophesied? The prophecy was not meant for his age and so he would not be able to comprehend it. It is like teaching a babe the psychology of human behaviour. Though his brain is complete, it is beyond his comprehension. It is like teaching the stone age man about the wonders of Artificial Intelligence. *"But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end"*. The prophecy is meant for the time of the end and it is those people for whom it is meant that will understand very well. The implication is that once any age is able to comprehend the revelation, then our age is at the time of the end. The mystery in the revelations will be removed at the dawn of the fulfilment.
b. This age doesn't have a problem with understanding the Palestinia crisis vis a vis the Jews. This age doesn't have a problem understanding Antichrist because there are many antichrists already. The implication is that all these things will happen in our age though it was distant for Daniel. *"Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased"*(Daniel 12:4). This is what is happening in this age of the internet and AI.
*Question*
What other Scriptures and modern day realities show that we are in the last days?
*3. Developing Realities*
a. Daniel was told not to give himself a headache for not understating his prophecies. *" And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end"*. It is no longer sealed because we are at the time of the end. He was told the things that would happen in the world between the time he prophesied and the time of the Antichrist. *"Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried"*. Today, we have millions of people getting saved and purified by the blood of Jesus and preparing for heaven. Many are also tried and even martyred for their faith in Christ. There is the other side of the coin. *"But the wicked shall do wickedly"*. The last days will be characterised by the kind of wickedness and invented sins that cannot be compared with other generations. Apostle Paul also re-echoed it by the inspiration of God. *"But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived"* (2 Timothy 3:13). The modern civilization, super information highway, increased learning, artificial intelligence and new discoveries cannot transform the modern man. Only Jesus can. As a result, *"none of the wicked shall understand"*. The issue of eternity will make no meaning to them. The doctrines of the last days will look like one of those religious fictions and stories. The love of the world would have blindfolded their mind. *"But the wise shall understand"*. Are you among the wise?
b. *"Blessed is he that waiteth"*. Blessed are those who wait for God and those who wait on God without allowing their lives to be polluted by sin. As for the aged and faithful Daniel, he was assured rest. *"But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days"*.
b. In the same way, there are eternal mansions awaiting all the faithful saints. Jesus Christ also said it. *"In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also"* (John 14:2, 3).
*Question*
What is your choice? Sin or salvation?
*Prayer Points*
1.Give praises to God for putting us in confidence about His eternal plans for the world .
2.Pray for the Spirit of understanding to understand and be wise with respect to eternity .
3.Plead with God to help you to always be fit for the Rapture at any time it happens .

Amen.

📜📜```TEXT:DANIEL 12:5-13```📜📜
🔑📖```KEY VERSE:``` _*"And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end" (DANIEL 12:9).*_
