Good morning, brethren.
1. Our morning prayer focuses on "A new day in God's hands."
2. How do you manage your mind?
3. Do you know that you can not cheat God?
4. Do you k ow the peculiar love for an unfaithful nation (Nigeria)?
To know more, read the message below:
1. Morning Prayer
Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring [it] to pass. ⏤ Psalm 37:5
The great thing is to be always on the watch for God’s hand, to be ready to see His will and to do it joyfully. ⏤ George MacDonald
Almighty God, our heavenly Father, we worship You with the beginning of this new day. Life can be beautiful and good, only as it has Your blessing on it. We give this day to You, and we give ourselves to You. We are indeed Yours. You created us, and You also redeemed us. We are not our own, for we are bought with a very high price. Help us to glorify You in all that we do.
Accept our hearty thanks for the rest and all the goodness of the past night. We have slept and awakened, for You have sustained us. We thank You for our home and all its blessings and mercies. We thank You . . .
For the morning's light and for its health,
For our opportunities and privileges,
For the goodness and mercy that follow us always.
We confess our sins. We have erred and strayed from Your ways like lost sheep. We have done those things which we ought not to have done. We have left undone those things which we ought to have done, and there is no soundness in us. You have promised that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Grant us Your forgiveness and Your peace.
As we go out today, we know not what lies before us. The paths are all hidden from our eyes. We know not what dangers, what surprises of temptation or of sorrow may await us. But we are not afraid to go into the day, for You know all that is before us. So we put our hands in Yours, and we ask You to lead us forth. We shall be safe with You, no matter what may come. Lead us where You will and provide for us wherever we go. We ask in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

2. MORNING TEA. THE WORD FOR TODAY
FRIDAY DECEMBER 19, 2025.
"MIND MANAGEMENT (4)"
‘Don’t cherish exaggerated ideas of yourself.’ Romans 12:3 PHPS
HERE ARE two more examples of mind management. A thought knocks on the door of your mind and says, ‘You’re so wonderful, the world is lucky to have you.’ Typically it’s the kind of thought you’d welcome, but you don’t do things the typical way. You submit it to the authority of Christ, and as you unsheathe the Sword of the Spirit, His Word, you learn that pride doesn’t please God. ‘Don’t cherish exaggerated ideas of yourself.’ As much as you’d like to embrace an exalted image of yourself, you can’t. You only allow what Christ allows. Here’s another example: this time it’s temptation. If you’re a male, the thought comes in a low-cut red dress. If you’re a female, it comes in the form of the hunk you’ve always admired. Temptation whispers, ‘It’s all right, you’re both consenting adults.’ If you aren’t under Christ’s authority you throw open the door, but if you are you say, ‘Not so fast.’ Then you take this steamy thought before Jesus and ask, ‘Yes or no?’ And nowhere does He answer more clearly than 1 Corinthians 6 & 7: ‘We must not pursue the kind of sex that avoids commitment and intimacy, leaving us more lonely than ever…Is it a good thing to have sexual relations? Certainly—but only within a certain context. It’s good for a man to have a wife, and for a woman to have a husband. Sexual drives are strong, but marriage is strong enough to contain them’ (1 Corinthians 6:15-16; 7:1-3 TM). Now, armed with the opinion of Christ and the Sword of the Spirit, what do you do? Unless the tempter or temptress is your spouse—you slam the door shut. End of story!

3. OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL
DATE: FRIDAY DECEMBER 19TH 2025
TOPIC: YOU CAN NOT CHEAT GOD
MEMORISE:
"Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap." - (Galatians 6:7)
BIBLE READING: PROVERBS 3:5-7 (KJV)
5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
MESSAGE:
Years ago, a man who was completely stiff was brought to the RCCG headquarters; he couldn’t move his hands or bend down. We asked him if he would give his life to Jesus, and he did. We prayed a simple prayer, and immediately, he was healed. He was able to kneel, raise his hands, clap, and move his body in ways he couldn’t do before. For about two weeks, he was regular at church services, but after that, he stopped coming. We decided to follow him up, so we visited him at home and asked why he had not been coming to church. He responded by asking us if it was the church that healed him. We told him, “Of course not; it was God, but He used the church.” Then He said, “What then is the problem? If you go to a hospital and you get well, won’t you go home? I came to your church, and I got healed. There is no need for me to keep coming back.” We eventually left him alone, and some months later, as I was driving by, I saw him by the roadside in a worse condition than he was before his initial healing. This time, not only was his entire body stiff, his mouth was wide open, and saliva was dripping uncontrollably from it.
One thing about demons is that they don’t rest. When a demon’s host runs to God and gets delivered from the demon, after some time, it will return to see the state of the fellow. If it sees that the fellow, having received his or her miracle, has decided that he or she doesn’t need God again, it will invite seven more demons that are stronger than it to possess the fellow again. Eventually, the fellow who thought that he or she could use God just to get healed will realise that his or her case has become worse (Matthew 12:43-45).
Some men who are living wayward lives join churches because they want to get married to good Christian ladies. However, they often discover, after getting married, that they have been deceived into marrying someone like themselves who is not genuinely born-again, and also came to the church to look for a Christian husband.
Beloved, in my over 50 years of walking with God, I have discovered that people who think that they can use God and turn their backs on Him always regret it. Never be like such people!
KEY POINT:
Those who try to use God deceitfully always end up regretting their actions.

```KEY VERSE:``` _*"But I will have mercy upon the house of Judah, and will save them by the LORD their God, and will not save them by bow, nor by sword, nor by battle, by horses, nor by horsemen" (HOSEA 1:7).*_
*Metaphors and parables are often used in Scriptures as illustrations to communicate important information and teach practical lessons to God's people. Our passage focuses on Israel's uncontrolled, and abominable penchant for unholy relationships with idolatrous nations despite God's love and faithfulness to His covenant with their forebears. Perpetually and impudently, Israel had unequally yoked herself with heathen nations despite God's several warnings through His prophets and servants. They went into idolatrous practices with Egypt and Assyria and vexed the Lord with their abominations.*
*In our passage, God instructed Hosea to marry a whore (prostitute) and have children with her. The essence is to show God's love to Israel despite her unfaithfulness and idolatry. The children were named to send God's message to the nation: Jezreel (future punishment), Lo-Ruhama (not loved), and Lo-Ammi (not my people). Gomer leaves Hosea and gets married to another man. Still, the prophet repurchased her, illustrating God's love and redemption for Israel.*
*By the same token, when God's people enter into unscriptural relationships with the world, they vex the Lord. Unequal yoke in marriage, business, dressing, worship and religious practice are condemned in God's word. God abhors every form of sin and sexual immorality of any form. Taking things for granted and leaning on limited knowledge and dealings with people have resulted in the fall and painful regrets of many one-time faithful and committed believers. The Scripture counsels that let him that thinks he stands watch lest he falls. His word and instructions must be our guiding principles in all we do.*
*God's love and faithfulness to His covenant made Him to still desire Israel. He's still reaching out to every sinner and backslider today. There is, therefore, hope for repentant sinners and backsliders as they embrace the salvation that comes through Christ. And for every believer, God's love demands our faithfulness and commitment to the end.*
Our passage focuses on Israel's uncontrolled, and abominable penchant for unholy relationships with idolatrous nations despite God's love and faithfulness to His covenant with their forebears. Perpetually and impudently, Israel had unequally yoked herself with heathen nations despite God's several warnings through His prophets and servants. They went into idolatrous practices with Egypt and Assyria and vexed the Lord with their abominations.*
*In our passage, God instructed Hosea to marry a whore (prostitute) and have children with her. The essence is to show God's love to Israel despite her unfaithfulness and idolatry. The children were named to send God's message to the nation: Jezreel (future punishment), Lo-Ruhama (not loved), and Lo-Ammi (not my people). Gomer leaves Hosea and gets married to another man. Still, the prophet repurchased her, illustrating God's love and redemption for Israel.*
*By the same token, when God's people enter into unscriptural relationships with the world, they vex the Lord. Unequal yoke in marriage, business, dressing, worship and religious practice are condemned in God's word. God abhors every form of sin and sexual immorality of any form. Taking things for granted and leaning on limited knowledge and dealings with people have resulted in the fall and painful regrets of many one-time faithful and committed believers. The Scripture counsels that let him that thinks he stands watch lest he falls. His word and instructions must be our guiding principles in all we do.*
*God's love and faithfulness to His covenant made Him to still desire Israel. He's still reaching out to every sinner and backslider today. There is, therefore, hope for repentant sinners and backsliders as they embrace the salvation that comes through Christ. And for every believer, God's love demands our faithfulness and commitment to the end.*
