*🕊 DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 354*
* DATE:20TH DECEMBER, 2025*
*Topic: Victory Through Obedience*
*Anchor Scripture:Joshua 6:20 NKJV*
*“So the people shouted… and the wall fell down flat.”*
*Devotional Message*
Yesterday, by the help of the Holy Spirit, we saw that sin weakens an individual and gives the enemy legal ground to triumph over his or her life. Today, we build on that foundation by looking at another vital key to victory—obedience to divine instructions. Many times, victory is not delayed because God is unwilling, but because His instructions are ignored, questioned, or partially obeyed.
The instructions of God may sometimes appear foolish or unreasonable to the natural mind, yet they carry supernatural power. When the Israelites stood before the walls of Jericho, God’s instruction was not to fight or attack, but to march around the city for seven days. This instruction looked abnormal and ineffective, but obedience to it resulted in a supernatural victory. The walls fell, not by human strength, but by strict obedience to God’s command.
Similarly, Naaman the Syrian was instructed by the prophet Elisha to dip himself in the Jordan River seven times to be healed of leprosy. At first, he became angry because the instruction did not align with his expectations. However, when he humbled himself and obeyed, his healing was manifested. His victory was hidden in the instruction he almost despised.
Jesus also demonstrated this principle when He healed the blind man by applying mud mixed with saliva on his eyes and instructing him to go and wash in the pool of Siloam. Though the method seemed strange, obedience opened the door to restoration of sight. These examples teach us that obedience to God’s instructions—no matter how small or illogical they appear—is what unlocks victory and ushers us into the next level.
Child of God, the instruction you are tempted to ignore may be the very key to your breakthrough. Heed that word. Take that step. Obey fully. What may not make sense now will lead you exactly to where you asked God to take you.
*Prayer*
Father, give me a heart that obeys You completely. Help me not to lean on my own understanding but to trust Your instructions even when they seem foolish. Grant me grace to obey promptly and fully, that I may experience victory in every battle of life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
