“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”
— Isaiah 9:6 (KJV)

Thought Of The Day...
Christmas Eve is a sacred pause between promise and fulfillment. It is the quiet before the celebration, the holy stillness where heaven and earth draw near. On this morning, we remember that before the angels sang, before the shepherds ran, before the wise men brought gifts—God had already given His greatest gift.
Jesus did not arrive in a palace but in humility. He did not come announced by royalty but by angels to shepherds. This reminds us that God often moves in ways that are unexpected, quiet, and humble—yet eternally powerful.
The manger teaches us that God is not distant. He stepped into our humanity, our struggles, our brokenness, and our need. Christ came not only to be born—but to redeem, to restore, and to reign in our hearts.
Christmas Eve morning invites us to ask:
• Have we made room for Jesus in our hearts?
• Are we prepared to receive Him, not just as a baby in a manger, but as Lord and Savior?
In a world filled with noise, pressure, and distraction, Christmas Eve calls us back to wonder, worship, and waiting. Like Mary, we ponder. Like Joseph, we trust. Like the shepherds, we watch. Like heaven, we rejoice.

Scriptures for Meditation...
• “And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.”
— Luke 2:7 (KJV)
• “And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.”
— Luke 2:10 (KJV)
• “In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.”
— 1 John 4:9 (KJV)

Something to Think About...
• Jesus came humbly, yet His mission was mighty.
• God’s greatest gift came wrapped in obedience and love.
• Preparing for Christmas means preparing our hearts for Christ.
• True joy is found in receiving Him, not just celebrating Him.

Prayer...
Heavenly Father, On this Christmas Eve morning, we pause to give You glory and honor. Thank You for the precious gift of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Thank You that You loved us enough to step into time, into flesh, and into our broken world.
Lord, as we reflect on the manger, help us to remember the miracle—that You are Emmanuel, God with us. Prepare our hearts to receive You afresh today. Remove every distraction, every worry, and every burden that competes for space in our lives. We make room for You, Lord.
Like Mary, help us to surrender in obedience.
Like Joseph, help us to trust You completely.
Like the shepherds, help us to respond with worship and joy.
May the peace of Christ rule in our hearts, the joy of Christ fill our homes, and the love of Christ flow through our lives. As we move into this holy night, let our lives declare that Jesus is the reason, the hope, and the gift of Christmas.
We thank You for salvation, for grace, and for everlasting life through Christ our Lord.
In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
