GRACE AND TRUTH PERSONIFIED IN CHRIST

A WORD FROM THE WORD:

"And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth." John 1:14 NKJV.

John the beloved apostle of the Lamb, by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit captures the incarnation of our LORD Jesus beautifully in the Gospel. The profundity of the truth that the eternal Word, even the very essence of God became flesh and lived in our midst should leave us in awesome wonder.

The concept of divinity clothed in humanity is still a mystery beyond human comprehension, the infinite God humbled Himself, taking on the limitations of finite human existence. In the LORD Jesus Christ, God chose to come into our broken world, not from a position of triumph and power, but that of humility and vulnerability.

The Word made flesh is not only historical, but an ongoing reality with profound implications for our lives and humanity today. The LORD Jesus, the incarnate Word has revealed to us the nature and character of God, His redemptive plan for all humanity. He is God's ultimate expression of love to the world, who through His life and ministry on earth exemplified grace and truth.

The LORD Jesus became flesh to demonstrate the genuine and unmerited love of God to humanity. His grace is a beautiful gift to those who recognise their need for a Saviour and surrender their lives to Him in humility. Moreover, the LORD Jesus is the embodiment of truth. In a world that distorts reality, He came as truth personified, revealing God's eternal principles and divine nature. As His followers we have been called to receive His grace and walk in His truth, even as we align ourselves with His Word.

PRAYER BULLETS:

ABBA Father, thank You for the gift of Your Son, my LORD Jesus Christ, the Word made flesh, and Your ultimate expression of love to me and the world. Help me to seek His grace and truth in my life continually. Empower me to be a reflection of His character to those around me, and be a vehicle of Your love to a lost and hurting world.

FURTHER READING:

James 1:14, 17; John 1:1-5; John 3:16.
