*πŸ•Š DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 362*
* DATE:28TH DECEMBER, 2025*
*TOPIC:THE GIFT OF THE PRESENCE*
*Anchor Scripture: Matthew 1:23 NKJV*
*β€œBehold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, God with us.*
*Devotional Message*

For the past two days, we have reflected on the gift of forgiveness that came with the birth of Jesus. Today, we look at another powerful gift God gave us through Christ β€” the gift of His presence.

God did not send an angel or a prophet to redeem us. He Himself took human form and came to dwell among us. Jesus is called Immanuel β€” God with us. This reveals the depth of God’s love: He desired not only to save us but also to be present with us, to walk with us, relate with us, and restore fellowship with humanity. Even today, He lives in us through the Holy Spirit.

This truth teaches us an important lesson, especially in this festive season. Love is not expressed only through material gifts, money, or possessions. While gifts are good, presence is greater. God showed us that being present, available, and relational is more valuable than what money can offer.

As families gather during this season, it is important to give one another the gift of time β€” time to talk, to listen, to laugh, to reconcile, and to bond. Presence creates a sense of belonging, unity, and oneness that no amount of money can replace. Children, spouses, parents, and relatives need not just gifts under the tree, but hearts that are available and engaged.

Child of God, let us learn from our Father. Just as God chose to dwell with us because He loved us, let us also choose to be present with those we love. In doing so, we reflect Christ and strengthen our families and relationships beyond what material things can achieve.

*Prayer*

Father, thank You for the gift of Your presence through Jesus Christ. Teach me to value people over things and relationships over possessions. Help me to be present, loving, and intentional with my family and those You have placed in my life. Let Your love flow through me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
