Good morning and praise God. I hope you're having a great day. We are just less two days to welcoming another New Year. God Has been gracious and loving to us this far. Do you feel like it is eleventh hour for you? Probably you had resolutions that you hope to have achieved but somehow they haven't yet. Today we meet a couple that had reached eleventh hour of child bearing. They were Zechariah and his wife Elizabeth. This however had not stopped them from continuously serving God. About having a child actually had slipped off the husband's mind and he doubted it when Angel Gabriel announced to him that they would get a child. He was muted for doing that. He was muted from speaking what only his thoughts were which contradicted with God's. A time came and they got a son. People came to celebrate with them and wanted to give the child a name according to culture then but Elizabeth and her husband had a miracle name that had been given through the angel. However, the person who was to say was still dumb for doubting God. He was given a place to write down the name. He obediently wrote the name the angel had given him. He could not risk another time! When he wrote the name , alas, his speech was restored. He could now share the joy with his neighbors and relative and celebrate the doing of the Lord. Child of God, you might feel it is late but that is you not God. You might feel like you have not accomplished as much as you would have wished this year but again that is you and not God. What we are called to do is to let the will of God to prevail! Jesus Christ to save had to cry it loud, may your will be done and not mine. Are you willing to agree with God's will? It is the best decision you can make. It is the choice that will prepare you for greater things that the LORD has for you in store. With God all things are possible. With God all pains and struggles are bearable. Do not be willing to do it just your way but rather trust God's way. Trust your life, family, plans and everything else with Him and you'll attract many to celebrate with you like Zechariah and Elizabeth. Their child John was the one who prepared the way for Jesus and above it all baptized Him! He grew to be a man of truth. God gives us the best! God loves you, have a blessed day. Shalom. Shalom.
