*🕊 DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 365*
* DATE:31ST DECEMBER, 2025*
*TOPIC: THE GIFT OF JOY*
*ANCHOR SCRIPTURE:JOHN 15:11 NKJV*
*“These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.”*
*Devotional Message*
We have been exploring the gifts that came with the birth of Jesus, and today we reflect on the gift of joy. Jesus came so that we may have joy. When He came to dwell among men, He turned sorrow into joy and transformed painful situations into testimonies of God’s power and love.
Throughout Scripture, everyone who encountered Jesus experienced joy. Those who had lost their loved ones saw them restored to life. Those who had been oppressed for many years by sickness, infirmities, and demonic bondage were healed and set free. As a result, joy overflowed, and many leapt, praised God, and glorified His name.
Although Jesus no longer physically dwells among us, He now lives in us. Therefore, we cannot afford to lose our joy. Joy is not a product of circumstances but a fruit of the Spirit of the living God. The situations around us do not determine our joy; the Spirit within us does. Whenever the enemy takes center stage in a believer’s life, sorrow becomes the by-product, but when the Holy Spirit reigns, joy flows continually.
The Word of God is the source of true joy. The prophet declared, “I ate the word, and it became to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart.” Jesus Himself is the Word made flesh, and through the Word He has spoken to us so that our joy may be full. Whenever we give ourselves to the Word, we receive strength, hope, and lasting joy that cannot be taken away by circumstances.
As this year comes to an end, it is important to lay aside everything that gives birth to sorrow and intentionally cultivate joy. Choose to live a Spirit-filled life, for the Holy Spirit produces joy, as the apostle Paul teaches in Galatians. Dwell continually in the presence of God, for the Psalmist reminds us that in His presence there is fullness of joy. Keep your spiritual altar burning and remain watchful so that the enemy does not sow seeds of bitterness, sorrow, or offense. Joy fuels our genuine service to God and to men, and it is a vital strength for victorious living.
*Prayer*
Father, thank You for the gift of joy that came through Jesus Christ. As I meditate on Your Word, let my joy be full. Fill me afresh with the Holy Spirit, and help me to guard my joy against every scheme of the enemy. I choose to rejoice in You at all times. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
