The theme for this year is "The Amazing Grace of God." Grace is the unmerited and undeserved favour of God. It is a gift received through faith. Although the world emphasizes performance and achievement, our worth is defined by God. The one who receives God's grace is expected to manifest and extend grace to others. The message of grace brings hope and healing. Thus, the church should be a place of solace and succour for burdened individuals. Verily, the church is called to be a community of grace where reconciliation, unity, peace and so on flourish. Therefore, as you meditate on the daily topics, be inspired to exhibit the grace of God and edify others around you. *MEMORY VERSE FOR THE MONTH:* EPHESIANS 2:8-9 "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast." *DATE:* THURSDAY, 1ST JANUARY, 2026. *TEXT:* GENESIS 1:1-3 1. In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. 3. And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. *TOPIC:* GOD AS CREATOR *THE MESSAGE:* The statement, "In the beginning God created," emphasizes God's sovereignty and authority over all creation. He is the initiator of everything that exists. God is not a distant observer but an active participant in all that happens in the universe. The act of creation itself can be seen as an expression of God's love and amazing grace. By creating the world and humanity, God demonstrates His desire for relationship and fellowship. This shows that we are created for that purpose and are loved by our creator (John 3:16). Just as God brought light and redemption to a world marred by sin. Beloved, God is your Creator and sustainer. Live and demonstrate His power daily, for He created you for a purpose. *REFLECTION:* Honour your Creator and enjoy His grace over your life. *PRAYER:* Father, thank You for creating me. Help us make our home welcoming, loving, and a source of holy influence. We bring all our concerns to You—our work, our household chores, our studies, our friendships, our hopes, plans, and fears. Grant Your grace upon all these things. We pray for the responsibilities You have given us, especially those related to Your kingdom. Help us be faithful in every duty, and may nothing suffer under our care. Almighty and most merciful Father, we commend ourselves and all who are dear to us into Your hands. Tenderly care for the elderly, have pity on the weak and tempted, show mercy to the fallen, comfort the sorrowing, and bless the sick and those who care for them. Hear us, O God.
