*šŸ•Š DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 3*
* DATE:3RD JANUARY, 2026*
*TOPIC: SPIRIT OF PROCRASTINATION_1*
*ANCHOR SCRIPTURE: ECCLESIASTES 11:4 NKJV*
ā€œ *He who observes the wind will not sow, and he who regards the clouds will not reap.ā€*
*Devotional Message*

To many people, the reason why nothing tangible has ever manifested in their lives is procrastination. They keep postponing actions day in and day out until the year comes to an end, only to realize nothing has changed. Spiritually, many have never contacted fire in their walk with God because they are always waiting for an ā€œappropriateā€ or ā€œfavorableā€ time to begin consistent prayer, fasting, and Bible study. They lack the discipline required to stay on track, yet discipline is what births growth and consistency.

The reason God has never entrusted some people with greater resources, influence, or responsibility is because they have never taken a bold step that would qualify them for empowerment. God is waiting for us to play our part first. He amplifies what we begin. Faith is not passive—it responds. Until we take steps, heaven has nothing to empower.

Having goals and plans for the year is one thing. Inquiring from God is another. But taking deliberate steps toward fulfillment is where many fail. Many are waiting for favorable environments to start businesses, to begin night vigils, to fast, to pray, or to obey God’s call. That environment will never come on its own—you must create it, and then God will empower you for the assignment.

Procrastination has killed many destinies. Many people die without ever doing anything meaningful for their lives, families, communities, nations, or the Kingdom of God. Scripture tells us that creation eagerly waits for the manifestation of the sons of God. If we keep postponing, we will continue blaming others for our stagnation, societal decay, and leadership failures—yet we had an opportunity to shine the light of Christ and bring transformation but chose delay.

If we desire change in any sphere of life—spiritual, social, economic, or governance—we must confront procrastination. Otherwise, we will end each year at the same level as the previous one, shifting blame while refusing responsibility. God is waiting to partner with us, but partnership begins when we take small, obedient steps, which He then multiplies into greater impact.

A good example is Nehemiah. If he had postponed rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem when opposition arose, the power of God would never have been revealed. But because he took bold steps and remained courageous, heaven empowered him and the work was completed. Like Nehemiah, purpose yourself this year to refuse procrastination—whether in spiritual disciplines, business, ministry, or leadership. Begin, and God will strengthen you.

*Prayer*

Father, deliver me from the spirit of procrastination. Give me the grace to take bold and obedient steps toward what You have called me to do. As I begin, empower me by Your Spirit and establish the work of my hands. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
