*ЁЯХК DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 4*
* DATE: 4TH JANUARY, 2026*
*TOPIC: OVERCOMING PROCRASTINATION_2*
*ANCHOR SCRIPTURE: ZECHARIAH 4:6 тАФ NKJV*
*тАЬNot by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,тАЭ says the LORD of hosts.*
*Devotional Message*
We began looking at the spirit of procrastination yesterday, and one truth stands out clearly: heaven is waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God. Yet many believers have failed to manifest because they are always waiting for a favorable environment instead of creating one through obedience and faith. God never intended for us to wait until conditions are perfectтАФHe intended for us to act in faith and allow His Spirit to empower us along the way.
Many believers have never prayed for the sick, laid hands on the blind, the deaf, the dumb, or cast out demonsтАФnot because God did not call them, but because they feel unqualified. They postpone obedience by saying, тАЬI need to fast more,тАЭ тАЬI need to pray longer,тАЭ or тАЬI am not ready yet.тАЭ While fasting and prayer are important, many have done nothing tangible because they rely more on their own strength than on the Holy Spirit who already dwells within them.
A clear example is Peter and John in the book of Acts. As they were going to the temple to pray, they encountered a lame man at the gate called Beautiful. If they depended on their own preparation, they might have said, тАЬLet us go and pray first, then we will come back for you.тАЭ But they did not rely on themselvesтАФthey relied on God. Peter declared, тАЬSilver and gold I do not have, but what I have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.тАЭ And immediately, the man arose. Power was released through obedience, not delay.
Child of God, as the Lord spoke to Zerubbabel, victory is not by human might nor by natural power, but by the Spirit of the living God. If we are to rise above procrastination, we must learn to depend fully on the Holy Spirit. When you rely on your own strength, you will faint. Scripture tells us that even youths grow weary, but those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength and mount up with wings like eagles.
The Apostle Paul gave us a declaration we must live by: тАЬI can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.тАЭ Not through intellect, connections, resources, or personal abilityтАФbut through Christ. Whether in spiritual life, social engagement, economic growth, or governance, it is only by the enablement of the Holy Spirit that we conquer procrastination and walk in victory.
*Prayer*
Father, I repent of every form of delay and fear that has caused me to postpone obedience. Teach me to depend fully on Your Spirit and not on my own strength. Empower me to act in faith and manifest as a son of God for Your glory. In JesusтАЩ name, Amen.
