Heavenly Father, I thank You for sending Jesus in the power of the Holy Spirit to Galilee, where His teaching brought glory & a report spread through the land. As He stood in the synagogue of Nazareth, unrolled the scroll of Isaiah & proclaimed Your anointing upon Him, I marvel at His mission.

Lord Jesus, You declared: "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because You have anointed me to preach good news to the poor". Empower Your Church today to bring hope to the marginalized, liberty to captives, sight to the blind, and freedom to the oppressed.

Proclaim through us the year of Your favour, healing broken hearts and setting free those bound by sin and suffering.

Gracious God, as Jesus fulfilled this Scripture before astonished eyes, stir our hearts to live Your liberating love. May we, filled with Your Spirit, announce salvation's dawn in our communities, reflecting Your compassion for the suffering. Today this Scripture is fulfilled in our hearing and doing. Amen
