Good evening, brethren.

Evening devotional.

*DAILY WALK WITH CHRIST*
(COCIN DEVOTIONAL)

*DATE:*
FRIDAY 9TH JANUARY, 2026.

*SUB-THEME:*
THE AMAZING GRACE OF GOD.

*TOPIC:*
GOD'S GRACE IS ABUNDANT.

*TEXT:*
EPHESIANS 2:1-7.
1. You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge another, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things.
2. Now we know that God’s judgment against those who do such things is based on truth.
3. So when you, a mere human being, pass judgment on them and yet do the same things, do you think you will escape God’s judgment?
4. Or do you show contempt for the riches of His kindness, forbearance and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness is intended to lead you to repentance?
5. But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God’s wrath, when His righteous judgment will be revealed.
6. God will repay each person according to what they have done.
7. To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, He will give eternal life.

*TOPIC:*
GOD'S GRACE IS ABUNDANT.

*THE MESSAGE:*
Today's text describes the life of sinners before encountering God's grace through Christ. They were dead in their transgressions, following worldly patterns and the dictates of Satan, as well as gratifying their natural desires. This lawlessness made them objects of God's wrath. Amazingly, the abundance of God's grace made them alive in Christ without counting their transgression. They now have a secure place in heaven with Jesus. Some have committed grievous sins and they have lost hope of being forgiven or accepted, thinking they have sunk so deep that God will not forgive them. Are you one of them? Be assured that God's grace is available to pick you out of your mess. Respond to God's grace today.

*REFLECTION:*
God's grace is available to all.

*PRAYER:*
Father, thank You for Your abundant grace. Amen.

*MEMORY VERSE FOR THE MONTH:*
EPHESIANS 2:8-9.
"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast."

*TODAY'S BIBLE READING PLAN:*
GENESIS 21-24.

2. Evening prayer.

Evening Prayer

I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons. ⏤ Psalm 16:7

It is not enough to begin to pray, nor to pray aright; nor is it enough to continue for a time to pray, but we must patiently, believingly continue in prayer until we obtain an answer. ⏤ George Müller

We come to You, O God, for Your blessing at the end of this day. It’s dark around us—but darkness and light are the same to You. Your care is as perfect and full of blessings in the night as it is in the day.

This has been a good day for us. You’ve led us along paths we didn’t know, and we couldn’t have found without Your guidance. Forgive us if we weren’t always willing to follow Your way. If any of us have strayed from the right path, forgive us and bring us back before we sleep. We want to follow Your plan for our lives, and we don’t want to ruin it by choosing our own foolish way.

Now, as the day ends, we lay all our work before You. Nothing is truly finished until it has Your blessing. Bless the work of our hands. Correct our mistakes. Complete the beauty that we only began to sketch with our poor efforts. Make all our work holy, and take it into Your hands to be part of Your great plan.

We ask You to bless the people we’ve met today with the influence of our lives on them. If we didn’t live in a way that truly represented Jesus, please forgive us. Let no harm come from our errors.

We pray for all our friends everywhere. We pray for the sick, for those who are lonely tonight, for the sailors on the sea, for those facing temptation, the weary, the sorrowful. We ask all these blessings in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
