Good morning, brethren.
1. Morning devotional for today:
MORNING TEA. THE WORD FOR TODAY
MONDAY JANUARY 12, 2026.
"UNITY WITHOUT UNIFORMITY (2)"
âHave fervent love for one another.â 1 Peter 4:8 NKJV
IN WORKING for unity: 1) Consider your motives. Only God knows the motives of a personâs heart, and only God is qualified to judge them. âNo one can know a personâs thoughts except that personâs own spiritâ (1 Corinthians 2:11 NLT). Weâre externally-oriented creatures; we âjudge by outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heartâ (1 Samuel 16:7 NLT). Itâs not necessarily what people do that causes us to judge them; itâs what we tell ourselves about what theyâre doing. Weâre quick to attribute negative motives: âHe meant to hurt me. Sheâs selfish. They never consider others.â The church in Rome was sabotaging its own unity over outward issues, so Paul reminded them that even though their behaviour was at odds, their motives were similar. âHe who eats meat, eats to the Lord, for he gives thanks to God; and he who abstains, does so to the Lord and gives thanks to Godâ (Romans 14:6 NIV). Unity doesnât depend on outward conformity, but understanding hearts! 2) Consider your impact on others. We say, âItâs nobodyâs business but mine, as long as I donât violate Scripture.â Wrong! You can follow the letter of the Word but violate its Spirit. Paul said, âEverything is permissibleâbut not everything is beneficialâ (1 Corinthians 10:23 NIV). Yes, you can do it, but somebody else may end up being hurt. God has a higher law than that of âmy rightsâ; itâs the law of love! He cares âwhen you use your freedom carelessly in a way that leads a ChristianâŠto be thrown off trackâ
(1 Corinthians 8:9 TM). What should you do? âDo nothing from selfishnessâŠregard one another as more important than yourselvesâ (Philippians 2:3 NAS).

2. Morning prayer for today.
Morning Prayer
The steps of a Goodness Osondu man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth [him with] his hand. †Psalm 37:23-24
The great people of the earth today are the people who pray. I do not mean those who talk about prayer; nor those who say they believe in prayer; nor yet those who can explain about prayer; but I mean those people who take time to pray. †S.D. Gordon
Our Father, please bless us this morning. Lay Your hand on each of us as we bow before You and give us a Fatherâs blessing. Then we can go out into the world without fear. Keep us from harm all day long. Donât let us wander away from You. Hold our hands, leading us and keeping us from falling. You have the power to keep us from stumbling and to present us faultless in glory. We bring our weaknesses to You.
Bless us in whatever experiences this day brings. May this be a day of growth in grace for each of us. Help us to do our work well. Guide us in managing our home and taking care of our responsibilities. Let us not be stressed or overwhelmed by worries. Help us to simply do our best and leave the rest in Your hands. Help us in our jobs and work. May we be honest in all our dealings, truthful in our words and actions, and consistent in our behaviorâso that everyone who sees us will see Jesus in us.
We want to make this day one of loving service to others in Your name. Fill us with Your Spirit, so that wherever we go, our faces may shine with the light of Your love. Help us to be like Jesus to those we meet. Fill us with Your love, peace, grace, and compassionâso that Your life is truly revealed in us. May our actions and words bring blessings to everyone we encounter today.
We remember our friends and ask You to bless them all. Receive us now into Your care, use us, bless us, and keep us, for Jesusâ sake. Amen.
