*“I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming, and he has nothing in Me.” — John 14:30*
*“Whatever things are true, noble, just, pure… meditate on these things.” — Philippians 4:8*
*Devotional Message*

Jesus made a powerful declaration when He said, “The ruler of this world is coming, and he has nothing in Me.” This statement reveals the purity of His meditation and the absolute alignment of His thoughts with the will of the Father. There was no foothold, no access point, and nothing in His mind or heart that the enemy could use against Him.

In the same way, if our meditation is to glorify the Father, it must be centred on His Son, Jesus Christ, and it must be pure. Our thoughts matter deeply to God. Honour to God is not only expressed through our words, actions, sacrifices, bodies, and obedience—but also through what occupies our minds.

Pure meditation is cultivated intentionally. It is made possible when we consistently spend time with God in prayer, worship, and the study of His Word. As our minds stay saturated with the Word, our thoughts are renewed, our desires are purified, and our focus is redirected toward Christ. By doing this, we not only honour and glorify God with our meditation, but we also deny the enemy any foothold in our lives.

The enemy is constantly seeking access to the mind, because once he gains entrance there, he can enslave a person through corrupt and evil thoughts—especially immorality. This often begins with what we allow our ears to hear and our eyes to see. What repeatedly passes through our senses eventually forms our meditation.

When our meditation is pure, Christ-centred, and filled with godly thoughts toward others, we shut every door to the enemy. Such a life of disciplined meditation becomes a strong expression of honour to God.

The atmosphere and environment we create through prayer, worship, and the Word greatly influence our meditation. A mind that stays on the Word and is saturated in God’s presence becomes a dwelling place of peace, purity, and victory.

*Prayer*

Father, I surrender my thoughts and meditation to You. Help me to keep my mind pure, Christ-centred, and filled with Your Word. I choose to honour You not only with my actions but also with my thoughts. Let the enemy find nothing in me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
