“For the righteous falls seven times and rises again…” — Proverbs 24:16
Thought Of The Day...
Messing up is not the end of your story—it is often the moment where God’s grace becomes most visible. Proverbs 24:16 reminds us that falling does not disqualify the righteous; staying down does. God never promised a failure-free life, but He did promise restoration, strength, and the power to rise again.
After a mistake, time can feel wasted. Regret whispers, “It’s too late.” Shame says, “You should have known better.” But God says, “Get up.” Redeeming the time begins when we stop rehearsing what went wrong and start responding to what God is doing now. Every moment spent in condemnation is a moment lost; every moment surrendered to God becomes redeemed.
Rising again requires humility and obedience. The righteous rise not because they are perfect, but because they trust God’s mercy more than their own performance. When you choose repentance over regret, God uses what was broken to build wisdom, maturity, and deeper dependence on Him.
God does not measure your life by how many times you fell, but by your willingness to rise and move forward. What you learned in failure prepares you for faithfulness ahead. When you get up quickly, obey fully, and trust completely, God accelerates what seemed delayed.
This is how you redeem the time after you messed up: rise again, walk wisely, and make the most of the moment God has placed in your hands.
Something to Think About...
• Where have you allowed a mistake to keep you down longer than necessary?
• What would “rising again” look like in your life today?
• How can you respond to God’s mercy with immediate obedience?
Prayer...
Father God, Thank You that Your grace meets me even when I fall. I confess my mistakes and receive Your mercy. I refuse to stay stuck in shame or regret. By Your strength, I rise again.
Teach me to walk wisely, redeem the time, and make the most of every opportunity You give me. Use my past mistakes to shape my future obedience. I trust You to restore, renew, and reposition me for Your purpose.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Declaration...
I declare that I will rise again.
My mistakes do not define me—God’s mercy does.
I redeem the time by walking in wisdom and obedience.
What was meant to stop me will strengthen me.
I am getting up and moving forward—In Jesus’ Name! Amen.
