Romans 8:1 BSB
Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
Good morning and praise God. I hope you are having a good day. Condemnation is a very strong word which means sentencing someone to punishment. In Swahili the word is 'lawama'. Human have always been inclined to receiving condemnation because they disobey God by misusing freedom that have been given to them. Many time they have thought more intelligent than God who created them! Some have even thought to remove God from their own lives by denying His existence. All in all God Has not given up on human being though we read at several occasions God regretting about them. Our verse today is a reminder that condemnation has been removed, not for every human being, but for those who are in Christ Jesus. In Christ we are a new creation not born of flesh and blood but though Spirit of God. Every person who wants the new life receives it when they believe and accept Jesus Christ as their LORD and Savior. Condemnation, the sentencing to punishment is removed from them and they can again call to God "Abba". Psalms 103:11-13 reminds us this "For as the heavens are high above the earth, So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him; As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us." God loves you, have a blessed day. Shalom. Shalom.
