Good evening, brethren.

1. Evening devotional for today.

*DAILY WALK WITH CHRIST*
(COCIN DEVOTIONAL)

*DATE:*
FRIDAY, 23RD JANUARY, 2026.

*SUB-THEME:*
THE AMAZING GRACE OF GOD.

*TOPIC:*
THE WAY TO THE FATHER.

*TEXT:*
JOHN 14:6-7.
6 Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. Joh 1:4 Joh 1:17 Joh 10:9 Joh 11:25 Heb 9:8 [Rom 5:2] [Eph 2:18] [Eph 3:12] [Heb 10:19]
7 If you have known Me, you will also know My Father. From now on you know Him and have seen Him.”

*TOPIC:*
THE WAY TO THE FATHER.

*THE MESSAGE:*
God's grace draws us to Him. This text presents the profound truth about Jesus. He is the way to the Father. Salvation is found only in Christ because He is the truth and the life. The world is full of diverse beliefs about the way of salvation. But no founder of any religion assures his adherents the way to eternal bliss. But Jesus asserts that He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. This fact cannot be disputed! The one who believes in Jesus is given the grace to know the Father and will be in His presence. He shall come back to judge the world.
Whose path are you treading?
The concept that all roads lead to the same destination does not apply to the Christian faith. Only Jesus leads to the Father and Creator of the whole universe. Follow Him!

*REFLECTION:*
Knowing Jesus guarantees access to the Father.

*PRAYER:*
Thank You, Jesus, for drawing me closer to the Father. Amen.

*MEMORY VERSE FOR THE MONTH:*
EPHESIANS 2:8-9.
"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this is not from yourselves, it is gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast."

*TODAY'S BIBLE READING PLAN:*
EXODUS 13-15.

2. Evening Prayer for today.

Evening Prayer

The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even forevermore. ⏤ Psalm 121:7-8

God has never promised to keep us from hard times. He has, however, promised to be with us through them. ⏤ Corrie Ten Boom

In the quiet and stillness of the evening, we come to You, our Father. We went out this morning from Your presence, sent by You. We tried to do Your will, though often we fell short. We ask You at the close of the day for forgiveness for Jesus’ sake.

You have kept us through unseen dangers. Not for a moment was Your eye turned away from us. You carried us in Your heart through all our comings and goings. No mother’s watchfulness over her child is as constant and loving as Your watchfulness over us. We thank You for Your protection. We thank You, too, for all the blessings that came to us today. May we keep these divine gifts. Even when the things that came were just for today, like the bread we ate and the water we drank, may Your blessing in them remain with us forever.

We ask that You gather up all our work for You today and let none of it be lost. Take what we have done and make it part of Your eternal kingdom. May the words we’ve spoken bring grace to those who heard them. Forgive our idle words and bless every good thing we said to anyone. May all the good influences and impressions of our lives remain in the world, and whatever was not healthy, pure, or inspiring, may You erase.

We remember tonight those for whom life is hard. The world is too much for their strength. They are defeated in its battles and often lie wounded. Lift them up again, Father, and don’t let them sink away into eternal death. Be the God of those who have failed and help them rise again. Keep us tonight, our Father, from all danger, and give us peaceful rest. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
