Good morning, brethren.

1. Morning devotional for today.

MORNING TEA. THE WORD FOR TODAY
SATURDAY, JANUARY 24, 2026.
"EVIDENCE OF GOD’S GRACE"
ā€˜He…saw…evidence of the grace of God.’ Acts 11:23 NIV

WHERE THERE’S grace, there’s growth. And where there’s growth, there’s clear evidence of it. The church at Jerusalem sent Barnabas to the church at Antioch, and ā€˜when he arrived and saw…evidence of the grace of God, he was glad.’ As believers, we should be growing in ā€˜grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour’ (2 Peter 3:18 NIV). And there should be evidence of it! When you accept Christ, He ā€˜[equips] you with everything good for doing His will’ (Hebrews 13:21 NIV); you become ā€˜a new creation…old things have gone; everything is made new!’ (2 Corinthians 5:17 NCV). Grace makes you more caring and compassionate, and less critical and judgmental. It makes you slow to speak and quick to consider the other person’s point of view. You’re less likely to react in anger when things don’t go your way, and more likely to put the good of others ahead of your own (1 Corinthians 10:24). Jon Walker says: ā€˜When you become a believer your role changes. You no longer have the job of looking out for your own interests; your job is to represent the interests of Jesus. You are the face of Jesus; showing up in the lives of others on His behalf…in hospitals…at funerals…at weddings…across the table as you share coffee with a friend…You’re on the job for Jesus, and the more you serve others in love, the more you’ll influence them toward Christ.’ Paul wrote, ā€˜Though I am free…I make myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible’ (1 Corinthians 9:19 NIV). That’s what it’s all about!

2. Morning Prayer for today.

Morning Prayer

He hath showed thee, O man, what [is] good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God? ā¤ Micah 6:8

The closer you live to God, the smaller everything else appears. ā¤ Corrie Ten Boom

O God, just as Enoch walked with You, we desire to walk with You today. The world is full of dangers, and we can't navigate it safely without Your protection. The paths are tangled, and we could never find our way alone. We need Your companionship to make this day a blessing. So we ask that we may walk with You. We will try to be faithful—not running ahead of You or falling behind—but staying with You all day. May You walk with us and help us to walk with You.

We thank You for the rest of the past night. You have kept us safe. We lay down and slept, and You sustained us. You are our protector. All our blessings come from You. Give us grateful hearts as we begin this new day. We want to please You in all things, not straying from Your commandments. Help us, for while our spirit is willing, our flesh is weak, and we can't be faithful without Your strength.

Bless everyone in our home this morning, and give each of us a personal blessing. As we go out to our different duties, it may be that we shall never all meet together again; may we, therefore, part in love so that if we never come together again in this world, there will be no regrets in our hearts because of unkindness at parting. Bless our morning meal and give us wisdom for all the duties, tasks, responsibilities, and challenges of the day. May our influence be for good, leaving a blessing on everyone we encounter. Make us strong for our work. Protect us from the dangers of the day, and keep us near Your heart, giving us the grace, mercy, and peace we need. For Jesus' sake. Amen.
