*š DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 26*
* DATE: 26TH JANUARY, 2026*
*TOPIC: GRATITUDE IN ALL CIRCUMSTANCES*
*ANCHOR SCRIPTURES:1 THESSALONIANS 5:18, JOB 1:21ā22 (NKJV)*
*āIn everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.ā*
*āThe Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord. In all this Job did not sin nor charge God with wrong.ā*
*Devotional Message*
The Apostle Paul exhorts us to give thanks to God in all circumstances, for this is the will of God for us in Christ Jesus. Gratitude is not conditionalāit is a kingdom lifestyle.
Job stands as one of the clearest examples of this truth in Scripture. When God allowed Satan to strike Job, his children were killed, his cattle and camels were taken by the Sabeans and the Chaldeans, and report after report came to him from the few who escaped the raids. One would expect despair, bitterness, or accusations toward Godābut Job responded differently.
The Bible records that Job acknowledged God as the giver of all things and therefore recognized His sovereignty even in loss. He blessed the name of the Lord, and in all this, he did not sin nor charge God with wrongdoing. Even when his wife urged him to curse God and die, Job responded with spiritual maturity: āShall we indeed accept good from God, and shall we not accept adversity?ā What a profound level of trust, devotion, and understanding of Godās nature.At the end of Jobās trial, God restored him in abundanceādouble of what he had before.
Brethren, a lifestyle of gratitude is developed when, like Job, we remove our eyes from what God gives and fix them on God Himself. When gratitude becomes our culture, we deny the enemy access and invite divine intervention.
Jesus, our perfect pattern, modeled this lifestyle. Everywhere He went, gratitude preceded miracles. Before multiplying bread, before raising the dead, He gave thanksāand impossibilities became possible.
Child of God, unless we die to self, certain situationsālike those the children of Israel facedāwill cause us to murmur instead of giving thanks. Murmuring gives room to the devil, but gratitude opens the door for heaven to intervene. Choose gratitude, and you will see God work even in the most difficult circumstances.
*Prayer*
Father, I thank You in every circumstance of my life. I choose to trust You even when I do not understand what I am going through. Help me to fix my eyes on You and not on what I have or lack. Deliver me from murmuring and complaining, and cultivate in me a heart of gratitude. Let my thanksgiving open doors for divine intervention in my life. In Jesusā name, Amen.
