THE POWER OF YOUR CHOICE 2
A WORD FROM THE WORD:
"And if it seems evil to you to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve ... But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD." Joshua 24:15 NKJV.
My wife and I had the opportunity, in the early years of our marriage to feature in a syndicated television programme called ‘Your Choice' where a couple would square it out with two others. They were each required to make choices from the presenter's pack of questions that are asked in turns about the other which he or she would write the answer on a cardboard sheet, cover it from view and then have the other partner supply the right answer, which if it tallies with that of the other partner will earn the maximum points; after all couples are done, the couple with the highest points are declared the winner. We actually emerged joint first with another couple. But before appearing on the programme, and as soon as we were shortlisted, we deliberately chose to get to know each other better and that helped us greatly (and is still helping us decades later).
You have the choice to make at the earliest possible time in life whom you will serve, even today. That choice determines your value system. Whoever you serve determines who you will follow. There's a prospect for you to become a 'threshing instrument' in God's hand, but it can only be realised when your choice is in sync and aligns with the will of God for your life.
No man who lives carelessly becomes a vessel of honour in the hands of God. Though you have the freewill of choice, but God, in His mercy and infinite wisdom encourages you to make the right choice.
Dare to make the right choice today.
PRAYER BULLETS:
ABBA Father, I desire to make the right choices in my life, help me to follow the path of Truth by Your Spirit, in Jesus name.
FURTHER READING:
Hebrews 11:24-26; Isaiah 41:14-16; Ephesians 5:15-18; Deuteronomy 30:19.
