No one lights a lamp and puts it in a cellar or under a basket. Instead, he sets it on a stand, so those who enter can see the light.
Good morning. I hope you're having a great day. Sometimes I have found myself riding at night . My two cycle does not have the blinding lights and so I struggle seeing my way forward when these cars with great lights shines theirs especially from the opposite direction. Other time I have even rode when my lamp I'd dead. How do I survive at such moment? I follows a car with good light at a safe distance. They light the way for me till I get somewhere where road lights are present. Some drivers notices it and keep up with me . I really don't know them but at the end I feel thankful they did so. Jesus Christ talks about light when referring to Himself and also to believers. The light is the truth. In our verse today, Jesus had been speaking to these Pharisees and Scribes who were demanding for more proof that He was the Son of God. They wanted some more miracles. Some had actually blamed Jesus saying he was using Satan's power to drive out demons which Jesus disapproved with facts that Satan cannot fight himself. These guys had all the truth they needed to know Jesus indeed was the son of God but this truth had been covered by their minds which were full of darkness (lies). They were not ready to live what they knew but rather cover themselves in hypocrisy! They were like a person who lights a lamp and then put it under a basket! What a waste! If you have really made Christ Jesus your Lord and Savior, you've a duty to shine that truth to other people. Your behaviors must reflect Jesus. We are born again to transform and not to conform! Your life must bear the fruit of the Holy Spirit who is in you child of God. You'll achieve this when you follow what we learned in the previous lesson. Put your light high on a stand that others may see it. Be a person who lights up the way to others. God loves you, have a blessed day. Shalom. Shalom.
