THROWBACK THURSDAY - Years ago, people could receive a whole bunch of albums in the mail for a low price. My parents belonged to the RCA/BMG music club during the 1970s and complained about receiving 8-track tapes they didn’t want. That’s probably because they neglected to send back forms refusing the album of the month. As for myself, I did the Columbia House thing twice in my teens. It was a great way to suddenly expand my record collection. I didn’t like the higher prices I had to pay later, but fulfilled my obligations. In 1989, I had a roommate who opened three or four Columbia House accounts at once using fake names to acquire a large amount of CDs and then flew the coop. Hopefully, he repented. Numbers 32:23 says, “…be sure your sin will find you out.”
