 SOWING AND HARVESTING

 A WORD FROM THE WORD:

"Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back." Luke 6:38 NLT.

In God's infinite mercies to humanity, one law that has eternal relevance is the law of sowing and harvesting. This law is not affected by generational change, civilisation, culture, tribe, or even personal opinion. Life is principally a process of sowing and harvesting. Seeds for sowing include our sacrifices, time, talents, treasures and temple, and even our very lives. There is no vacuum in this law, rather it is a continuum. What one sowed yesterday is what one reaps today and one's harvest tomorrow is dependent on one's sowing today.

Harvests are in two categories - good harvest and evil harvest. The seed sowed by Noah (his sacrifices) made a harvest of enduring mercy for mankind and re-establishment of certain orders. Seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter. (Genesis 8:22). Learn to do good things on a daily basis so that you can have good harvests both for yourself, your family and humanity. A lot of people today are having bad experiences in life owing to the wrong ways they had charted; some also have their destinies frustrated due to no fault of theirs. In all these, the only way out for such people is to come to Christ who sowed His life to harvest eternal life for us.

Be kind to others; help somebody; be considerate and loving. Your harvests will keep you happy, healthy, lively, and fruitful and fulfilled, and you will reap eternal life.

 PRAYER BULLETS:

LORD Jesus, thank You for sowing Your life so I can reap eternal life.

May my life be filled with sowing of good seeds as I receive the grace for great harvests.

 FURTHER READING:

Genesis 8:20-22; Galatians 6:1-10; Luke 6:37-39.
