*🕊 DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 33*
* DATE: 2ND FEBRUARY, 2026*
*TOPIC: THE SPIRIT OF STAGNATION (PART 2)*
*ANCHOR SCRIPTURES: PROVERBS 6:2 (NKJV)*
*“You are snared by the words of your mouth; you are taken by the words of your mouth.”*
*DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE*

Yesterday, we defined stagnation as a state of no progress—being confined in one position for a prolonged period. We established that before Satan afflicts a person with stagnation, he must first gain legal ground to operate. Once that ground is granted, the result is often imprisonment in one place spiritually, financially, emotionally, or physically.

We identified fear as one of those legal grounds. Today, we examine the tongue as another powerful doorway that grants the enemy access.

The Bible clearly teaches that life and death are in the power of the tongue. This means progress or stagnation can be enforced by the words we continually speak. When a believer constantly speaks negativity, impossibility, failure, and defeat over their life, they unknowingly give Satan legal authority to enforce those declarations.

Many people are not stagnated because God has failed them, but because they have already shaped their world through the words of their mouths. Speaking failure over a business venture, hopelessness over a marriage, limitation over a career, or weakness over one’s spiritual life becomes an agreement with the enemy.

Scripture tells us that what we decree is what becomes established. Therefore, careless speech can imprison a person in one level for years—career-wise, spiritually, financially, or ministerially.

Child of God, if growth must be experienced, your tongue must align with God’s Word. Make it your lifestyle to speak life, progress, victory, and possibility over yourself, your family, your children, your business, your marriage, and your calling. When your words change, your atmosphere changes—and stagnation loses its legal hold.

*PRAYER*

Father, in the name of Jesus, I repent for every negative word I have spoken against my life knowingly or unknowingly. I break every legal ground the enemy gained through my words. From today, I align my tongue with Your Word. I decree life, growth, progress, and advancement in every area of my life. Let every prison of stagnation be broken by the power of righteous declarations. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
