*đ DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 34*
* DATE: 3RD FEBRUARY, 2026*
*TOPIC: THE SPIRIT OF STAGNATION (PART 3)*
*ANCHOR SCRIPTURE: ISAIAH 59:1â2 (NKJV)*
*âBehold, the Lordâs hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; nor His ear heavy, that it cannot hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; and your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear.â*
*Devotional Message*
So far, we have looked at the spirit of fear and the tongue as legal grounds the enemy uses to afflict believers with stagnation. Another major legal ground is sin and disobedience.
Impurity licenses the devil to attack a believer, while holiness forms a wall of defense around your life. Holiness is not only defensiveâit is also an offensive weapon, because when there is no sin in your life, the devil has nothing to accuse you with and nothing to stand on. Sin is the opposite of holiness, and Jesus came to die for our sins, showing us how serious and destructive sin truly is.
Sin cuts off the line of supply between a believer and the Holy Spirit. As Isaiah reveals, iniquity creates separation between us and God. When that connection is broken, progress is hindered, and a believer can remain stuck in one position for a long time.
The children of Israel are a clear example. Though their journey was meant to take about 400 years, disobedience caused them to remain longer in the same place. Sin produces stagnation, delay, and confinementâexactly what the enemy desires. The devil introduces sin into a believerâs life to gain legal ground, trapping them in bondage and preventing them from entering their God-ordained destiny.
Often, this happens gradually. Sin is normalized, excused, and made to look harmlessâespecially secret sin. While it may appear to have no immediate consequences, it slowly drains spiritual strength, steals time, and leads to an unfulfilled life. This is one of the enemyâs most effective strategies against believers.
Child of God, freedom, progress, and advancement are found in walking in holiness and obedience. When sin is dealt with, the wall of defense is restored, and the flow of grace is reactivated.
*Prayer*
Heavenly Father, I thank You for the light of Your Word. Today, I ask for mercy and cleansing from every form of sin and disobedience that has given the enemy access to my life. Restore my fellowship with You and rebuild the wall of holiness around me. I receive grace to live a life that pleases You and to walk in obedience to Your will. By Your Spirit, help me overcome every secret and open sin, and lead me into progress, freedom, and fulfillment. In Jesusâ name, Amen.
