Good morning, brethren.
1. Morning devotional for today.
MORNING TEA. THE WORD FOR TODAY TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 3, 2026.
"WORRY (1)"
âDonât worry about anythingâŠâ Philippians 4:6 NLT
IDENTIFY THE source of your worries. Did you grow up in a fear-filled family, always feeling insecure, never measuring up, and never hearing words of affirmation and approval? Are you listening to the prophets of doom, hearing only about whatâs wrong, and how much worse itâs going to get? Whatâs the source of your anxiety? What feeds your worries? Until you can express your fears you canât expel them. Putting your worries into words disrobes them. They look weak and silly standing there naked. In his novel Life of Pi, Yann Martelâs main character, Pi, finds himself adrift at sea on a lifeboat with a 450-pound Bengal tiger as his companion. While on the lifeboat, Pi begins to analyse his fears, both of the sea and the tiger. He gives this counsel: âYou must fight hard to express your [fear]. You must fight hard to shine the light of words upon it. Because if you donât, if your fear becomes a wordless darkness that you avoid, perhaps even manage to forget, you open yourself to further attacks of fear because you never truly fought the opponent who defeated you.â So pull back the curtain and expose your fears, each and every one. Like vampires, they canât stand the sunlight. Financial fears, relationship fears, professional fears, safety fears - call them out in prayer. Drag them out and make them stand before God. How do you do that? âDonât worry about anything; instead, pray about everything⊠Then you will experience Godâs peace, which exceeds anything we can understandâŠâ (vv. 6-7 NLT).

Morning Prayer
Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring [it] to pass. †Psalm 37:5
The greatest answer to prayer is that I am brought into a perfect understanding with God. †Oswald Chambers
We bow before You, O God, this morning to ask for the help weâll need throughout the day. We donât know what weâll face, what burdens may come our way, or what challenges we may encounter. But You know everything this day holds for us. Your eyes see every step of our path. Like children, we place our hands in Yours, asking that You lead us in the way we should go. We want this day to honor You. We desire to live with sweetness, patience, and selflessness. But we know that on our own, we may fall short of our goalsâof doing what we truly want to do. So, we cast our weakness onto Your strength, asking You for the help weâll need at every step.
We want this day to be useful. We aim to do all our tasks well, leaving nothing undone that we should do. Help us to be honest, true, skillful, and alert, doing everything faithfullyânot just for human eyes, but for Yours. We also want to be helpful to others throughout the day. Give us a spirit of kindness, thoughtfulness, and helpfulnessâso that every life we touch receives a blessing. May our words encourage others, making their lives easier or giving them the strength to face their own challenges.
If there are people who are sick, troubled, or tempted whom You would have us help todayâlead us to them. Put the right thoughts of kindness in our hearts, the right words on our lips, and the healing touch in our hands.
We thank You for the goodness of the night and ask for forgiveness for all our sins. We now give ourselves to You, to be used by You today as You see fit. In Jesus Christ our Lord, we pray. Amen.
