DILIGENT PERSEVERANCE

A WORD FROM THE WORD:

"So we labored in the work, and half of the men held the spears from daybreak until the stars appeared. At the same time I also said to the people, 'Let each man and his servant stay at night in Jerusalem, that they may be our guard by night and a working party by day.' So neither I, my brethren, my servants, nor the men of the guard who followed me took off our clothes, except that everyone took them off for washing." Nehemiah 4:21-23 NKJV.

It is a biblical and truthful fact that whenever any child of God receives an assignment from the LORD, the enemy of their soul would definitely duel them so much as to have them give up on it. You should never give in to the badgering of the challenging situations you will come across, they are parts of the process and programme.
Nehemiah was faced with the Sanballats and Tobiahs, the Arabs, the Ammonites and the Ashdodites of his world who were bent on ensuring he failed in his God-given assignment to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem. But he refused to give up, rather he diligently persevered, mobilising and encouraging the nobles and his men to complete the rebuilding process to the glory of God.  Pray, make your little effort and move on in life for God is with you.

Nehemiah diligently pursued his purpose with the piety and zeal of a Godly man, the integrity of a noble man, the resilience of a soldier, the discipline of an athlete and he persevered, even when opposition was strong, the people continued to build, prepared for war. Their hearts' fixation was on God and on their purpose, with determination and they refused distractions.
Nehemiah is a practical example of how a believer in Christ Jesus should live and work in God's Kingdom. He diligently persevered in the face of challenges, he and the members of his team combined hard work with spirituality (vv 15-21). These two must go hand-in-glove for effective result, to the glory of God.

Won't you rather persevere diligently in your God-given assignment? It's up to you.

PRAYER BULLETS:

ABBA Father, thank You for goodness to me. Strengthen me so that I may never lack diligence and the spiritual stamina to persevere in the face of challenging situations.
